I went to this Waffle House this morning to get meals for my team as a going away gift. I am not a Waffle House goer typically so I am not as familiar with their meals. From my first walk in to my return visit (I'll explain in a bit), the experience was great. I got my coworkers to send an email with all their orders described out and showed it to Kathy at the register. She wrote it down and got my name as well and her team started cooking. As they packed, they started announcing them, but I just told them to bag since I didn't even know what it meant. I grabbed my bags and was on my way shortly after the larger order.
Upon arrival a few minutes down the road, my boss told me that Waffle House had called as I left a meal behind. There were 6 boxes in my bag so I thought they were joking. They were not! Kathy had remembered my mentioning my job and was personable enough to ask which apartment complex and called our sister property as well trying to hunt myself down. She used both my name and another coworker's on the original email to let us know we had left food behind.
When I returned, they even met me at the door, but they told me along with another customer, that one of their cooks who had been bagging the food chased after my car, but I was distracted. Since I didn't see them, they took it upon themselves to hunt me down to ensure I got the note that food was left behind.
I used to manage at a Chick-fil-A and this is still some of the BEST customer service I have ever seen. When I returned, she mentioned speaking to my boss by name, and I am still shocked to this moment of how much effort they took during a busy breakfast to make sure my team had a good celebration. Thank you, Kathy,...

It is set up like a typical Waffle house with a staff that greets you when you enter. You can eat at the tall counter, low counter, or in the booths to the left and right of the counters. The menu is regular American fare with Eggs, omelets, waffles, and sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant was not very crowded when we visited. The place was very clean. The waitress came to take our order quickly. We ordered the waffles (of course) and bacon and drinks. The food came out quickly and tasted very good. The staff was very professional, the price was good and the food was excellent. One unique thing about this restaurant is the view out the back of the restaurant as it is situated on a very pretty lake. A really nice place to get a good waffle near...
Read moreWe went in on the last day of August at 12:33 and there were only three people working one hat on a burgundy shirt. White male appeared to be the cook and two line servers or waitresses. We ended up drawing the shorter straw. Literally. It was a young African American lady with crimped hair and from the moment we walked in we were an imposition to her. She remarked that we could have sat somewhere that was already clean. I'm sorry I thought when it's your money you can sit where you want to and then my wife told her water for a drink and she never bothered to ask me. She just fixed two Waters that she talked to the gentleman in the burgundy shirt. When she came back. I remarked a young lady. You know you never asked me what I wanted to drink. I told her what I wanted. She turned around and her entire face had shifted and she fixed the sweet tea with an attitude. When I inquired about why I didn't get a lemon as I watched her fix it and not get it, she said we don't have any lemon now. If I was a betting man there probably was some there and she just didn't want to take the time to cut it up at 12:33 in the morning. I looked at my wife at remark. We're not going to eat here. We...
