The actual stay was good. We loved the room that we had. However, the stay started and ended very poorly. I want to make you aware of what happened. I was going to do the survey, but by the time I got to it today, it had expired. My husband, Paul, and I got there on 09.19 after check in time and after 3 of the other rooms had checked in and left for an early dinner. We were told that we could not check in at that time (again, after check in time) because the room wasn’t ready. We were told that it was in fact ready, but the carpets had been cleaned and the floor was still wet. We asked if we could check in and put our bags on the bed and we were told no. The desk clerk knew that we were leaving to meet the rest of the group, so he took our baggage and locked it up. Fast forward a few hours after dinner and sightseeing, my husband went back to the hotel while I left to meet with my sister who lives in Mukilteo. Long story short, the desk clerk at the time would not allow my husband to check into the room. I do understand that the room was in my name, however, we were not allowed to check in when we should have been able to. There was a gentleman in the lobby to the left of the desk who was there when we were trying to check in and again when my husband tried to check in. Ultimately, also, when I got there to check in. He was dressed nicely and in the same area, so I assume that he had something to do with the hotel. Again, I understand that it was in my name, but because this was not our issue as staff would not allow us to check in because of the carpets, there should have been some kind of accommodation made to allow this to happen. I could have called, facetimed, sent my ID…the options are endless. But there were no options other than me to be present. I understand it was in my name, but there should have been some kind of accommodation made by the hotel for an event that the hotel caused. My husband ended up waiting in the lobby (mostly with his mom) for 2 hours. I’m sure you know how downtown traffic is and how long it takes to get anywhere. Once I got there, we were able to check in and get to the room. No apologies made for the hassle caused by an event on your end. The departure was horrible, too. My mother-in-law had set up the shuttle upon check in to take us all to the port for the cruise. She signed us up for 9:45 am for 9 people so that we’d be at the port for our check in at 10:00 am. He had been there and someone else was there to verify we were there and ready to go. And then we waited…and waited… The desk clerk kept calling him telling him to get there. I’m not sure what the driver was doing, but he was not there for our group. We waited 45 minutes and then started getting Ubers to come and get up. We could not and would not...
Read moreactually hate this place! don't visit here! the location sucks. there is like 72 rooms and there are like 15 free parking places in a rlly tiny garage in an alleyway. we asked the lady in the lobby and she said try to find parking on the street and drive around to find a place. wow! she was v rude. we decided to cancel our reservation but the one of the family we were going with were stuck there. they couldn't cancel. so we decided to stay there! BAD IDEA! the lady that was in the front desk was v rude to us and she gave us an eye roll when we were discussing what we should do. we couldn't find parking so we spent half an hour looking for places in downtown Seattle. NOWHERE WHERE WE THOUGHT NOBODY WAS GOING BREAK OUR GLASS. we found a parking garage but man it was so scary. there was graffiti everywhere and lots of homeless people were near it. we took everything from our car and paid $25 for a full 14 hours. the graffiti looked like someone painted it on like 4 hours ago. we walked to the place which was about a 2 minute walk. we went up to our room and the room was okay. the wifi sucked however but it's a hotel, what was I expecting. I took a shower and I felt like the mat they have on the ground had not cleaned it well. the view from our room was so weird. the next building over was a business or something like that and the ppl in there could see right through our room. the room was pretty clean or so I thought. I slept at 1 am bc we had got to the hotel at approximately 11:30pm. I was just on my phone watching YouTube videos and then it suddenly kicked me out of the wifi so I was watching YouTube videos with my data. I could not sleep at 1 bc they were the noises when someone closed a door the whole floor just creaks with it. I also had feelings that the place we parked in homeless people slept in and they could break our glass. I was up all night worrying. The air conditioning was rlly loud and I couldn't sleep all night bc of that. also one review here said that there were bugs in the room. I was nervous a bug was going to crawl on me. I woke up at 8 and then went downstairs to get breakfast, they had v limited food. when I went back upstairs I was cleaning up leaving to go back home that I saw on my bed sheet was two stains of blood. there were old stains because it was dry and crinckly. There is construction next door on the opposite side of the business building and they were using tools like jackhammer and loud tools like thatI actually did not like staying here overall. I was actually relieved that I left that...
Read moreHad a wonderful stay here as we had a large room with a balcony, the staff were super nice and helpful, and the location was very safe and ideal for visiting the city. Everything went right during the stay. Yes it’s not a new high rise five star hotel, but it provides exactly what it promises and would recommend it for the great value for money it provides. Below is the detailed review. ||Location: The hotel is located at the end of 8th Avenue which is at walking distance from all the city attractions as Space Needle, Pike Place Market etc. Closest bus is at an 8 minute walk. This is a very secure area at all times of day and night. ||Rooms: Had a room on the 7th (top most) floor facing the road with a large wall window and a balcony with a view of Space Needle. The room had a large King Size bed with comfortable mattress and pillows. Everything was super clean. The room also had a single sofa, desk and chair, and a very old flat screen TV. There was a large closet space with iron and board in it as well.||Bathroom: The bathroom was separated from the room by a wall. There is a large open sink area, and the WC and shower are in a closed room. The fixtures are old but they work perfectly. The bathroom has a loud automatic exhaust fan that turns on when you turn the light of bathroom. The bath tub had dark stains from being old but was clean. The shower has two large heads and the combined pressure was really good at the seventh floor. The bathroom amenities were really nice. ||Staff: All staff members encountered across various times during a multiple day stay were super nice, extremely helpful, and respectful. They provided very good guidance and facilitated with all requests. The housekeeping lady was also very nice though she could not speak a single word of English. ||Facilities: The common facilities are very good. They also have a very small Gym, a business center, and two lobby waiting lounges. The hotel offers free parking during the day at ground level and paid basement parking at a good rate of $18 per night. They also offer basic breakfast at an additional cost. The elevators are of good size and a bit slow but work well.||Overall highly recommend staying here for the reduced cost and greater...
