From the moment I walked into House of Eve, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant — warm lighting, tasteful décor, and soft background music that creates a relaxed, intimate vibe without being pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you can have a quiet dinner for two, celebrate a special occasion, or just unwind after a long week.
The service was absolutely exceptional. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. She walked us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and made sure our drinks were never empty. Every member of the staff we encountered had a smile and a sense of pride in what they do — something that really sets a restaurant apart.
Now, the food — wow. Every dish looked like something out of a magazine, but the flavors were even better. We started with the charred octopus appetizer, which was tender and perfectly seasoned with just the right touch of smokiness. The signature House of Eve steak was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, cooked perfectly medium-rare with a buttery herb sauce that I’ll be dreaming about for weeks. My partner had the sea bass special, which came with a light citrus glaze and roasted vegetables — fresh, delicate, and bursting with flavor.
Dessert was the grand finale. Their homemade chocolate lava cake with vanilla bean ice cream was heavenly — rich, decadent, and perfectly portioned. I also have to mention the cocktail list; the bartender clearly knows their craft. The “Eve’s Garden” cocktail was refreshing, floral, and beautifully presented.
You can tell that House of Eve takes pride in every detail — from the plating to the pacing of the meal to the way the staff makes you feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the experience so completely.

Read moreDuring a recent gem of a discovery in Seattle, Washington, I had the absolute delight of dining at House of Eve, an Italian-American fusion restaurant that left an indelible mark on my culinary memory. From the ambient lighting that bathed the cozy interior to the warm welcome that greeted us at the door, every element promised an evening of gastronomic excellence—and it delivered beyond expectations. The meal commenced with a simple yet profound offering of bread and butter with honey, setting a high standard with its sublime freshness and flavor. What followed was a parade of dishes that blended Italian tradition with American innovation in the most harmonious way. The Mushroom Bolognese was a revelation, offering a depth of earthy flavors that was both comforting and luxurious. The Brothers Alfredo was executed with a finesse that balanced creamy textures with the perfect punch of seasoning, while the Basil Pesto introduced a bright, herbaceous note that was utterly refreshing. The Just Mac n' Cheese was a standout, elevating a classic comfort dish with a complexity that was both surprising and deeply satisfying. Father's Fish and Mama's Mussels were masterclasses in seafood preparation, showcasing the freshness of the ocean with a thoughtful Italian twist that paid homage to traditional flavors while introducing something excitingly new. Each dish at House of Eve was a testament to the creative potential of fusion cuisine, marrying the rustic charm of Italian fare with the bold, innovative spirit of American cooking. Read moreLet's start off by saying that I highly recommend you give House Of Eve a chance to serve you a splendid cocktail and enjoyable dinner.
As someone who travels 20 to 25 days a month I get a grand opportunity to try an array of different restaurants. There are those that are staples and survived the ages - Applebees. There are those that I'm sorry I ever went to - won't give you an example here. And then there are those such as House of Eve where I'll happily return. A new restaurant (opened NYE's) who is making a go at it.
I do have to admit that I was quite surprised to learn of the limited menu, and the lack of red meat on that menu. However the design of a limited menu of pasta and fish can be a strength. There are other specials as well in fact I was fortunate enough that Chef Gerard provided me with a duck breast, fingerling potatoes and carrots dish. Which I found absolutely superb. I truly enjoy my meal when I can actually taste the food and not taste just seasoning.
I would be extremely remiss however if I did not touch base on the simple fact that this is not just a bar..., in other word, they don't just open a can of beer or pour a glass of boxed wine. The people behind the bar are mixologists and are willing to take the challenge to create a beverage that meets your wants and desires.
I highly recommend starting the meal (like I did) with the Sinner's Martini. Something about it's sweet cherry flavor puts your palette in the mood (of and the unicorn glitter is a nice touch). I was there for two nights during this trip, and fortunate enough to have E Paul as my bartender both evenings as well as Tirzah, the GM, who also bartends. E Paul is a whiskey guy like myself and prepared the perfect end of the meal drinks each night.
Let me just finish off by saying I I know that next time I'm in Seattle I will definitely return. Prior to then if you happen to be traveling through Seattle or living in the area and looking for nice venue with good food, a pleasant staff and good atmosphere, I suggest giving a House...
