We originally planned to check out on the 26th but ended up extending our stay at One Hotel Seattle until the 28th. From beginning to end, the service here was world-class.||One moment that stood out was when my girlfriend called ahead to let the hotel know it was her best friend’s birthday. The staff went above and beyond with thoughtful touches and spot-on recommendations. They really made the celebration special. We also had the chance to take an Audi out for a two-hour drive, which was an incredible experience. I’ve always been a Toyota guy, but that drive actually had me considering an Audi, and that’s saying something.||On the last night of our stay, the main elevator went out of service. That could have been a serious downside, but the way the staff handled it showed their professionalism. They quickly transitioned guests to the service elevators, added a bench and plants to make it more comfortable, and even stationed a team member there full-time. What struck me most was that those areas are usually private spaces for staff. It’s the one place they can step away and take a breath. Having that taken away and still showing up with kindness, patience, and professionalism is no small thing. That level of sacrifice speaks volumes about this team.||The people here are what make One Hotel Seattle truly special. A few names deserve special recognition:| • Tyler went above and beyond every time. Professional, reliable, and always ready with great recommendations.| • Ashley (or Ashlyn) was a constant bright presence at the bar, always upbeat and welcoming.| • Ellen was warm, genuine, and made incredible cocktails while making us feel right at home.| • Okar handled everything behind the scenes seamlessly, from reservations to ensuring our days ran smoothly.| • Shay was thoughtful and resourceful, even down to little details like tracking down the fruit my girlfriend wanted. It sounds small, but it meant a lot.| • Leo was great to interact with, always friendly and positive.| • David was dependable and personable, especially when he drove us within the two-mile guest radius. His restaurant recommendations were excellent.| • Steven brought the kind of energy every bartender should. Charismatic, funny, and on point with his drinks.| • Lawrence was another standout behind the bar, reading the vibe perfectly and crafting excellent cocktails.| • Monica was a joy to be around. Professional, sweet, and always smiling.| • Skylar was genuine and down-to-earth. From conversations to simple fist bumps, he made me feel at home.| • Helen was kind, welcoming, and consistently attentive, whether it was coffee or cocktails.| • Gene went out of his way to make sure my girlfriend’s best friend had the best birthday possible, which meant the world to both of us.| • Nacho was reliable and professional, always offering the right recommendation at the right time.||Every single staff member reflected the brand’s values and turned potential setbacks into proof of just how strong their hospitality is.||Because of this team, I can confidently say One Hotel Seattle doesn’t just meet the standard for luxury. Read moreThe customer service, organization, and responsiveness of this hotel is terrible. I terribly miss the Pan Pacific that this hotel has replaced.
We stayed for two nights spending thousands of dollars. My son left his Apple Watch in the room, which we realized 10 min after leaving but were catching a flight. I immediately called and they recovered my watch and assured they’d mail it back. Easy, right? For some reason not with this hotel. I get a call back that I have to go online and fill out a report so they can recover the item and I then can pay for shipping. Okay, little off putting considering a paid almost $2k for two days, but whatever I’ll pay for the $7 shipping.
Well then I get an email back that they don’t have my item. I call several times, the staff is unhelpful and I have unreturned yet promised calls from managers. Finally get through, they have my item (literally sitting right in front of them) but there was a problem with the reporting process so I have to go back to fill out a second one so I can pay for shipping. I do that again with the promise I will get an email immediately to pay for shipping.
Several days again now and it’s the same thing.
The service and organization is worse than a best western. I cannot understand why they don’t just mail back my damn watch. It’s been almost a month and this 5 star hotel cannot figure it out.
For the price, I would absolutely avoid this hotel - stay at the Fairmont or Four Seasons in Seattle over the 1 Hotel. I loved the Pan Pacific due mainly to their amazing customer service. 1 Hotel cannot compete at all. They are unresponsive and overwhelmingly incompetent, which at this point appears to be costing me a brand new Apple Watch that they cannot figure out how to put in the mail.
Highly encourage staying away...
