What I wanted from this hotel was the following:
-cheap -downtown -free wifi
And I got all three of those things from this hotel. If you're looking for a hotel where you'll be spending a lot of time in it this isn't for you. If you're looking for a cheap version of a Best Western, this isn't for you. This hotel is for people who want a cheap place to stay and don't care how it is. Front desk was courteous, wifi was strong, and they had hot water in the shower. It gets four stars instead of five for the following reasons;
-this is an old hotel, so I know the bath fixtures are not updated. While having decent water pressure is great it didn't help that it came out of the shower head at high speeds. To hotel management, I would recommend updating the shower heads just so they're at a controllable flow.
-the bed was...very firm. If you're tired enough your body won't care. If you're trying to get to sleep, it is a little harder to fall asleep. I would highly recommend updating these to a more middle ground mattress.
-no outlet in the bathroom. One thing I like doing in the morning is blow drying my hair in the bathroom. Unfortunately there was no outlet in the bathroom so I had to do it while sitting on the bed. I know electrical outlets aren't something you can just place anywhere but this threw off my morning routine a bit.
Other than those three things, recommended to solo travelers, people looking for a cheap place, and those who just need a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to choose this place because it was "reasonably priced for the looks of it" and close to Pike Place. That being said, when we got there the hotel needed lots of maintenance, the photos shown in the listing we absolutely laughable compared to what was reality, it was filthy, I wish I had photos to post in this review; the room had dust bunnies all under the bed and in the corners of the room, the key to our room didn't lock our room correctly, the "wifi" they say they have wasn't working and they weren't able to give us an ETA to when it would be fixed (we both planned to do some work during our stay, but had to relocate to a cafe to get any work done). The bathroom was in terrible condition, the overall room looked like the classic "Landlord paint job" over almost all cracks, or pilled paint on the walls. We left after the first night requesting a refund. The gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to let us know that we could still get our refund for the remaining 3 nights, which he apparently did right in front of us, but we have yet to receive any refund at all. He told us that we would be receiving a "Cancellation Confirmation" which did not come and we've been back home for a few days now. I've tried calling the hotel multiple times and so far no one has picked up. DO NOT GO HERE -- It is a waste of your money and time. There are way better hotels to choose from literally anywhere...
Read moreCustomer service could be a lot better. Gentlemen at desk at check in could be more courteous. He referred to the issues we had to the TV n wifi to a piece of paper that had incorrect info. Then when we complained again told us to wait until 10pm when the next guy came in to correct the issues. Convenient first floor n parking. Had to pay $20 for parking on premises. Yes tons of dust bunnies in corners of room especially the office bil folds of info for guests. Overall clean room n linens. Looked remodeled. Vanity n bathroom nice n clean. Living area was ok. Fridge n microwave. Couch was super hard. Desk n rolling chair. Not enough bedroom outlets. Bathroom sink was backed up n slow. Bed was ok. Cable doesn't work. Was told "They have to get the guy in at some point to fix it". The wifi info they gave us was incorrect but after we went to front desk they gave us the right access. Location was great to all we wanted. Window in bedroom was super thin. Birds cawing. The alley is right in back by room so much noise at night and early morning!!!! Location location by all the places you'd want to eat, walk around, by pike market, museum, n etc. You get what u pay for. Cheap compared to...
