I booked a glassblowing session through Groupon as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday, and it turned out to be such a unique and fun activity. Booking was super easy, and the studio made the whole process seamless from start to finish.
The experience itself was incredible—our instructor was patient, knowledgeable, and guided us step by step through the process. He explained the tools, the safety precautions, and the technique in a way that made us feel both safe and confident. It was truly a hands-on activity—we got to shape and blow the glass ourselves (with help of course!), and it was exciting to see the molten glass take form.
After our session, we explored the gallery/shop area and were blown away by the variety of stunning glass art available for sale—from colorful bowls and vases to delicate starfish, tumblers, and abstract sculptures. The craftsmanship is top-notch and truly inspiring.
Unfortunately, when I pick up my piece, I found my glass bowl cracked during the cooling process. While I was a bit disappointed since I really liked what I made, they kindly offered to remake the piece for me. It’s not quite the same as doing it myself, but I appreciate the gesture and the professionalism.
All in all, this was a really special experience—perfect for a date, birthday, or anyone wanting to try something creative and out of the ordinary in Seattle. I highly recommend it and would definitely go back!
We signed up for a beginner class kind of last minute (only a few days in advance) and they were super accomodating. We hit traffic on the way over and we had taken the last spot for the day so it looked like were gonna miss out. But they were able to get their instructor out on lunch which gave us enough time to get there and park. So that was excellent customer service to begin with!
When we got their we were greeted with a warm welcome immediately by their staff and were given clear instructions on what to expect. The instructor was equally awesome and made the whole experience fun, interactive, and very informative. We were allowed to take pictures and video for the whole process which was a boon for creating memories with my girlfriend. The more difficult processes were handled by our instructor, but we got to select our colors, model type, and then shape and influence the design ourselves while supervised. It was safe and exciting. I definitely recommend this place for newcomers and we'll back later for the more advanced sessions.
Amazing experiencing. We walked away with a lot of fun, memories, and amazing glass pieces. WOW!
My partner and I were so impressed with this place and our experience! We purchased one "Blow Your Own Glass" Hands-On Experience for Two and enjoyed it so much. We had a great time with our instructor (I believe his name is Joe!). We bought the Groupon on a Wednesday and were able to find a spot for Friday night at 7:30 PM. We were the only people at the time slot, so it felt like a really cool, specialized experience!
The instructor really walks you through the process and is there at every step, while also giving you space to try it for yourself. He also told us the reasoning behind different techniques, which was really cool! It gave us a whole context about glass blowing, so we felt like we learned a lot and truly appreciated the art of glassblowing. We made a vase and a bubble bowl and got to pick our own colors. Since we were only visiting, we got the option for the studio to ship out our pieces. We'll definitely be coming back next time we're in the Seattle area.
There is street parking out in front, but there is also a paid parking lot ($10-$12) across the street that felt pretty safe.
