Awesome park. Lived at trop and Jones since I was like 6, grandparents owned a house on flamingo and Jones. Stomping grounds. This park used to be a ravine and this name over is something the county should be proud of. Lots to offer. Walking areas, soccer field, play grounds, dog park, work out areas, extensive parking, two parking areas, there's the trop side which is more for the soccer fields and around the corner by home depot on Decatur that's the dog park and kids friendlier side. Also a walk through area that you can ride a bike or walk into our leave the park, this is out the back side of the kid area past the walking maze, this exits to, can't remember side road but gose to Harmon. PSA- have no issues with homeless but be extremely weary. Lots of homeless use this place to sleep and stay. Patches of trash, people sleeping, and yes the 1 out of 10 that's zonked out walking around with a hatchet at 8pm in the dark that actually makes you want to carry if you know what I mean.

Every morning btwn 6am and 7am someone leaves their 2 very large barking dogs in dog park alone who bark at everyone trying to use dog park or walking by. Literally no one is in there with them nor controlling their bad behavior.See pic. Quiet place to hang. Water park, dog parks, play areas on north side are decent. Bathrooms could use better upkeep. Great views, sunsets. 8/28/22 water park shut off for last week or so. Temps over 100 and no place to cool off. Why?? Trees trimmed too much, very little shade unless you stand on the hot side walk. 9/26/22 now the rest rooms are locked 24/7. WTH! Kids and adults now peeing in bushes! Why punish everyone for a handful of people acting like uncivilized animals. How about security doing some drive through checks every once in a while?! Seen security one time in 3 months.

Lovely little well maintained urban park. A few non confrontational homeless in tents. The biggest bad was the awful man who let his dog attack another dog for no reason in the dog park. We were already inside with our dogs who are elderly and small. Man comes in with his dog and it immediately attacked my friends dog. I got them separates. The owner of the other dog did nothing. Refused to remove his problem dog from the enclosed area, wouldn't apologize or acknowledge any thing happened. Didn't correct his dog or check the dog that was attacked. Photo is of the man with the aggressive dog.

I come here for the Poke Stops! They have a spot where you can hit 3 at one time here!

In terms of the park itself though, it's actually quite nice with a nice visitors. I have to add the nice visitors part because in Vegas, you get these nice park with bums or nearby residence littering. This one is really good, though with the advent of the new Pokemon Go game there was a couple of incidents with irresponsible visitors. For the most part, the community keeps the ambiance nice, probably because at least one peewee football team practices there (definitely want to keep it safe for the kids).

There's on basketball court only but I haven't really played there yet so I can't speak for the pick up game. There's always a game going on though.

Looks like 3 really nice, clean tennis courts with probably one usually in use. They probably stay nice, clean because I don't see many people playing there. There's a large field with peewee teams practicing and soccer games going on. A small work out calisthenics workout area (pull ups, push ups, dip bars, leg lifts, and monkey bars) is available. There's also a really small dog park area which is nice but I have heard people comment on how small it is. I'm not sure why people need a small enclosed dog park area at a large park but I never owned a dog so it's not for me to even wonder, right? There's plenty of play areas for children, located at different spots, and there's even small water park area for hot days.

Finally the restrooms, these are a more on the cleaner side considering the park isn't really overpopulated, which is what adds to how nice it is, but still it's a park...

Overall this is a pretty nice park. Has a nice playground for the kids, beautiful view of the strip, HUGE fields & it even has a gym. It's never too crowded or overwhelming. Has a little waterpark area as well which I think is pretty nice. The bathrooms are fairly clean given the fact that it IS a public park, they are pretty well kept. Only downfall is that in the bathrooms facing Tropicana, you will find a bum or 2 sleeping by the bathrooms or sometimes even IN the bathroom & immediately you think "NOT SAFE". Another reason why I only give this park 3 stars is because after the kids have soccer or football practice, its loaded with trash all over the floor! Wrappers, water bottles, chips, etc. I understand it's not the parks responsibility for people leaving trash behind but they should really encourage or enforce the parents or coaches that USE the park to have everyone clean up after themselves. It is not safe for the wildlife around there & it just makes such a beautiful place look dirty. This is why we cant have nice things yall! Overall this is a pretty nice place to take a walk or...
