Update:
This business has changed hands so my previous review was out of date.
This spot has been remodeled into a cozy yet upscale coffee spot with some food options. I haven't had a chance to try the food yet but the coffee is good. They have an espresso machine so this iteration can actually make decent lattes. It's also $2 for a hot tea, regardless of the size, so if it's later in the day and you want to skip the caffeine, that's a good option.
There is indoor and outdoor seating available here. The kitchen closes earlier, so check the website for hours if you're looking to grab a bite to eat.
They do have some pastries and snacks available even after the kitchen has closed. There's beer and wine available as well, though I've never seen anyone order it since they close at 4pm and I've only ever been on weekdays. Maybe the weekends are more for the brunch/mimosa crowd.
Regardless, this new atmosphere feels perfect for setting up a laptop and getting some work done while...
Read moreCute little place with good bagels and coffee. Incompetence kinda killed the experience.
ordered plane bagel got everything bagel. Cook was not happy when we returned bagel. No apology just an unpleasant glare.
Couldn’t add our own cream and sugar to coffee, so as a result, the coffee was luke warm with way to much cream. Guessing none of the employees drink coffee? It’s kind of a personal thing. No? They did give us fresh coffees. No apology.
Asked for 8-sugar packs and received 4 for 2- cups of coffee.
Ordered 2 OJ’s and never received them. Later noticed that they were in the fridge unit at front counter. Would have been nice for them to point us in that direction.
Will probably go back but will be REALLY SPECIFIC about next order.
It’s a coffee and bagel place. It shouldn’t be that difficult to get it right.
*Follow-up. We revisited back in April and things went pretty smoothly . Bagel sandwiches are...
Read moreAs residents of Saint Michael's, we love to enjoy our local board affair, which is always great, except... Today, 9/6/2025, at approximately 8:30, I picked up a takeout order of avocado toast. The service was ok, at purchase. Long story short, we didn't care for it. The "Green Goddess" or whatever, was terrible. As it was a take out, I returned both orders in person with only one bite from each, to get something else. Even though what I wanted was more expensive than the original order, which I offered to make up the difference, they said no. Imagine going to a restaurant in this town, getting you didn't like and not being able to return it? The new management of the Blue Crab needs to do better or face the same fate of others who started with a bang only to fail because they lost focus on basic customer...
