One Love is terrific to work with. We hired Chef for a family styled small wedding event in Key West. We had looked at other catering companies and none felt truly authentic to the Island and Key West vibe we were trying to achieve for the bride and groom. Our kids and the groom’s family are locals. We come from diverse backgrounds but all agreed the food was delicious.
Many were traveling from out of town and up north. All of the guests raved about the food. On top of that, Chef and his team are wonderful to work with and happy to make any celebration (big or small) perfect. They made all adjustments for the bride and groom-ensuring that their specific requests were all made. They were friendly and flexible. We all felt like the team from One Love was a part of the family.
Lastly, the rum cakes themselves could win a Nobel Peace Prize. They’re out-of-this-world good (I’m not a dessert person and am dreaming about the next time I get to taste one) the jerk chicken is easily and hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted. Every single element was delicious and thoughtfully crafted for the event. The food was so good, we are looking for opportunities to cater again. The photo is my sister in law trying to grab the last few run cakes ;) Highly recommend working with Chef and team for any Key West...
Read moreWe had One Love cater our rehearsal dinner about two weeks ago. We ordered the food and had it delivered to Ft Zachary Taylor Park. Let me start by saying the food was fantastic. It had great flavor, high quality ingredients and it was evident a lot of thought went into the dishes. The reason for two stars is a complete display of incompetence. The food showed up without plates, napkins, utensils or any other paper goods for which to eat said food. I’m pretty sure if you order a 20 dollar pizza they will offer you plates, napkins and other amenities. When you pay almost 900 dollars for a catered meal those things should at least be mentioned or offered if not included. When we called One Love and asked about plates, napkins, and utensils, their response was “it was never discussed.” So there we were with 30 people to feed, all this food and no way to feed them. As a business who caters and provides food services, this shouldn’t be an oversight and for 900 dollars it should have been “discussed.” It could have been a great review but with all of our guests eating out of communal piles of food, it really took from the...
Read moreSO glad we stumbled on this place. The jerked chicken is the best we’ve ever had, ever. The omelette with fresh fruit was also delicious. My whole family LOVED it. I placed 2 orders initially but we ate while waiting for my dad and it was so good we went back and ordered some more for the road haha. We wish you’re near by so we can order often because we are still craving for it. Funny story we met Chef Clive, he was so nice and sweet and friendly but the whole time we were talking I just assumed he’s the owner. Never thought to ask for his name or who he is. We were just too busy having fun talking to him and enjoying the coconuts he just cut open for us, shame 😂. Chef Clive offered us his just cut coconuts because he noticed how much we like them thing 😂😂. It really had to be our lucky day to be there at the right time when they just cut them cocos down from the tree. Thank you Chef Clive! You’re so kind. You made our trip memorable, this was the best part of our trip. By the way, those were the sweet and tastiest cocos we have had in years and we drink a lot of coconuts as you know. Thanks...
