I have always spoken very highly of this store but today's visit was less than pleasant. My father is visiting from out of the country and cracked his phone case and needed another one. Best Buy did not have what he needed but the associate we met with on Tuesday showed us a few we could purchase on Amazon. She then told us to come back to have them put it on for $7.95. Since I am a Total Tech member, she said there would be no cost.
Today we went back and the associate said that since we did not make the purchase there, they couldn't help us...However, since we were not told that he would ask the manager if there could be an exception.
After waiting 5 minutes for him to come back, he walked past with his manager who then went into the back while he started a social conversation with another member of the team. Then he came over to us and said that there's no exception and that's what the manager said.
The manager that just walked past with you couldn't come over to tell us that? So we asked to speak with him to make sure he understood we were told to come back out here later in the week once we had the case.
If he didn't repeat the word "policy" 15 times, he didn't say it at all. After visibly rolling his eyes in front of us while we asked if there were any other options, he let us know about their policy one last time. No apologies whatsoever until I said (again) what we were told and all we got then was a "yeah well, sorry that's wrong information".
I have never been given wrong information here or treated like an inconvenience in years. No empathy, no nothing- just tough luck we don't care.
We were also the only customers in the entire store so this wasn't exactly a busy time.
Anyway, don't trust that they'll fix anything if you don't purchase it there. That might seem obvious but we weren't told that- in fact, we were assured there wouldn't even be a cost because of my Total Tech membership.
It's also more about the amount of attitude we were given and dismissive language than it is about not being able to fix the problem they said they could and would fix in the first place.

Read moreI had one of the worst experiences purchasing my washer and dryer from this place. I must say Jason the sales associate was great however, every part of my experience after that initial interaction was terrible.
I purchased an open box Washing machine and a brand new gas dryer. The washing machine was to be delivered on Thursday while the Dryer was set for Saturday of the same week. The washer was delivered just the way it was displayed in the store. That's right, no protection, no box no plastic nothing. The driver said he was also shocked it was placed on the truck like that. Next, the hose that came with the washer was broken, no one checked to ensure the components for the washer were quality checked before shipping? Wait, it gets worse.
I received a call from customer service, apologizing for the issues with the washer delivery and, was told she will get me a new hose sent out with my dryer. Then, she accidentally deleted my appointment for Saturday when trying to schedule the hose delivery and ended up putting it for the next Tuesday. Why do you have to create a new appointment for a minor part like a washer hose? I was told she will make sure I get to keep my Saturday appointment since, it was her error, she just had to get a manager involved. She assured me she will call me to verify a time for Saturday. Saturday came, no word, so I called only to find out I was on the Schedule for the next Tuesday and, there was nothing they could do.The lady lied to me on the phone and, nobody was willing to take responsibility. I was able to get an appointment for the Monday. I went to the store myself to verify, the associate told me it was actually still scheduled for Tuesday.
I ended up getting a call from the delivery driver on Monday to verify I would be home for the delivery. Wait, hold up, who is keeping track of these appointments? Why is there such a lack of communication. I had to adjust my schedule 3 times to deal with this. Read moreMy issues started with Best Buy when I purchased my TV and mount in December from them and then they messed up the installation x's 3. My TV and mount were not corrected until the 4th visit from Best Buy. Calling and speaking with the store, never will happen and you always get a different answer. You speak to a call center and they tell you they can't connect you to the store after telling you to hold for 45 minutes while they are connecting you, the store is just busy. I asked for a call back and was told I would receive a call first thing the next morning; yup again radio silence. I had to call them since they can't seem to follow though correctly on anything. Nothing but aggravation from Best Buy in regard to sending qualified staff. After all those issues, I was told I would get a $100 credit due to all the inconveniences (multiple times taking off of work). They did give me a $100 gift card instead of just refunding my credit card the $100. I have no plans to go back to their store, so the only thing that I would possibly buy with that gift card was a gift card for my daughter for Roblox. I placed the order and it kept getting canceled. I even called Best Buy 2 times over the past 5 days (prior to last call listed below); regarding this and they even helped me over the phone to place the order so it would not be cancel but yet again canceled. Told I would receive an email with 48 hours as it was apparently blocked on their website. 48 hours later no email, nothing. Tried placing order again and yet within 5 minutes canceled again tonight, 5 days after trying to purchase for the first one. I called yet again, and now was told I can't use a gift card to purchase a digital gift card. It makes no sense. I refuse to spend another dime in this store and will never return to another Best Buy location in the future. No matter who I speak with the multiple times I never get the same answer.
