The hotel was very old. The furnishings were old. I encountered an issue to issues actually in the evening in fact at night. The first issue had to do with in the bathroom. There was some kind of noise that I thought maybe someone was taking a shower. So you know, I left and took a short walk and came back and the noise was still going. Well, I wasn’t gonna say anything about that. So finally When I was ready to lay down in the bed because I have been sitting in the chair earlier eating my dinner Watching TV. So when I got on the bed, I heard a noise and I thought maybe those were pipes are something. But as I am trying to position myself in the bed, it was actually coming from the bed. And the olden days there were spring mattresses, and as the mattress got older, you heard that noise. I’m trying to correct this issue so I go into all parts of the bed and it’s making that noise. Well, I guess when I went downstairs to talk to The person at the front desk. I explained to her what was going on and ask could I get a room change? She didn’t know how to particularly handle that situation so she said she was gonna call her manager. She did call her manager and her manager said no it’s too late in the evening. This is when I really got upset because I’m paying for a room that possibly I wouldn’t get a good nights rest in the bed because I have insomnia and so if I didn’t get a deep sleep every time I moved in the bed I was gonna hear that noise. That’s fast forward the young lady at the desk this morning said that I needed to speak to the GM and he should be there between 11 and 1130. And she told me don’t worry about you check out at 11. So finally, I guess around 12 I got a call and she said that you know he he she couldn’t get a hold of him. I went and checked out. Well, he called me once I got home and the conversation really didn’t go well. From my perspective, it sounded like the GM was justifying the issue and blaming me for waiting so late to report this Because he said that he had seen me a number of times during the day and I hadn’t said anything. When I told him that you know, accuse me of lying. He denied that, but he kept pursuing his issue instead of listening to and showing concern about my issue. Finally, you know we’re going back-and-forth and I said you know I have other things to do. So I was gonna drop in and not say anything. But as fate would have it, I decided I didn’t wanna go home so I booked another hotel and guess what it’s a country inn And suites, but it’s in Cumming, Georgia. I’m like God is this really for real By this time, I have no faith in country inn. Well, I’m here. The hotel is very modern. There’s no fan running in the bathroom which I found out from the GM that that’s the ventilation fan that runs constantly. He did say that he was gonna go check out the bed and just got in the bed. I’ll give him the credit that maybe because the bids were new that they were squeaking. But I believe most guess what complain about a bed that is squeaking and a fan that you can’t turn off when you’re trying to relax take a shower or bath or whatever you’re doing in the bathroom. Is the whole point the hotel is old and it needs upgrades. The furnishings are old. They advertise free breakfast but it’s a continental style breakfast. The country that I am now they serve a full breakfast. That’s what I expect. I’ve been too many hotels and I always get a hotel with free breakfast That cuts down on expenses, but the whole thing is, I didn’t like the attitude in which she handled the issue He said I don’t know what discount you booked through a third-party and we can’t give you a discount. Good customer service would’ve leased have because that signed up to your rewards program could’ve gave me some points or something because it really was a problem for me. I will never ever stay at low quality hotel again. I had just checked out of Springhill by Marriott, which was very very nice. But they didn’t have a second night they are so that’s why I ended up staying in the country inN. Read moreI would like to share the absolutely horrendous experience I had here during the early morning hours of Thursday May 8th, 2025. My wife and I had another hotel booked for our trip, and after working all day and traveling in the evening, the hotel we had a reservation at did not have a room for us when we arrived. This started a 2 hour process of our hotel trying to find another hotel with an opening, so they can do a “walk on” i.e. pay for us to stay somewhere else, since it was their fault they could not honor my reservation. The only hotel in the area with availability was unfortunately this Country Inn & Suites. The front desk worker from my hotel that was handling all this, gave me VERY specific instructions to not pay for anything, in any way, this turns out to be I believe unintentionally misleading, but at 1:30am I took his word for it.
I drive to the Country Inn & Suites, and am greeted by an older gentleman whom had just spoken to the front desk worker from my hotel, everything seems normal, he asks for a credit card for a security deposit, and says as long “as I don’t smoke in the room” I will get it back. I think for a second and respond with “no problem, let me just call the person from my hotel and verify, because he gave me different instructions, and double check.” This man proceeds to get very visibly angry out of nowhere, and starts raising his voice and telling me that if I was not willing to pay the security deposit, that he was not going to rent a room to me and I can just leave. I tried to remain calm, and explain to him that the person that sent me there had told me something different, and that I understand they possibly had told me incorrectly, but I would like to call and verify, that is all. This man continues to raise his voice, shout over me, tell me to leave, and pick up the piece of paper I was sent with from my hotel and waive it in my face, telling me “did you read this? This is a contract.” (Which had my name nowhere on it, it was a contract between my hotel and the Country Inn & Suites. Which is why I had not read it.) and repeating over and over again about smoking in the room, it is just my wife and I, we are not smokers, I did not smell of smoke, and do not understand why I was being repeatedly told this. I tried several times to explain I had zero issue paying the deposit, and that there was probably just some miscommunication, and all I wanted to do was clarify. This interaction was extremely unprofessional to a level I have never seen, this man was extremely hostile and combative. At this point, this is not somewhere I am comfortable staying nor am I comfortable bringing my wife to. When I returned to the hotel that sent me to the Country Inn and Suites, this man was on the phone with the employee that sent me there, also being hostile and combative with him, and telling him I had an issue with the deposit.
I want to be extremely clear, I had ZERO issue with paying the deposit, all I wanted to do was clarify what I had obviously been told incorrectly by the hotel that put me in this situation in the first place. My hotel was in the wrong, and Country Inn & Suites was saving the day in my book, until my interactions with the gentleman at the desk. We did not stay at this hotel due to this man’s actions, I would rather sleep in my car than stay somewhere that employs someone who treats their guests this way. I have never been so disrespected at a place of business in my life. Management should be ashamed.

Read moreWhere do I begin??? I had taken a three hour trip to Atlanta and because I was tired I decided to stay in a hotel for the night. I was greeted by an older gentleman named Richard. I had called the hotel previously and was told that the hotel would be 99 dollars. I then get to the hotel and ask Richard if he can match the price. Richard tells me that normally they do not match prices which I understand. Richard then goes on and says he can give me a fifteen percent off discount. I tell him thank you because I appreciate the offer. I then ask Richard how much it will be after tax because I am aware the price will be different. Richard then begins telling me that I am being abusive to him and that I am angry. What shocks me is that he begins running back and forth from the front desk to a back room. I would never want to scare anyone and I was using a very calm tone so I was utterly confused. However I decide to put my frustration aside and I politely ask how I am seeming angry and what I am doing that he doesn't like. I tell him that I do not have a weapon and I even back up far from the desk to try to make him more comfortable. He then starts yelling at me and says that I need to get off of the phone because I am "distracted " and not hearing him clearly. While this is happening I call my mom because I am still a teenager and I am wondering if maybe he talks to another adult if he will be calmer. He then s3ems scared and says I shouldn't record him. I tell him that I am not recording I simply want him to speak to my mother. He then threatens me and tells me that if he will speak to my mom I should not even utter one word and that I need to OBEY him. He says If I say one thing then I am "proving his point" I say nothing until he begins to give my mom inaccurate information and he says that I called him a liar and that I accused him of misrepresenting his company. I said none if this. He then tells me if ill not pay 125 (this is not the price he told me he said it will be 101) then I must leave. I decide to leave because I did not feel comfortable staying in a hotel if this..... is the first introduction I am unsure what is wrong with Richard but I think it would be best if either he doesn't work the night shift because he came off as very anxious or that he does not work in this establishment at all.
