Allow me to, personally, run down FACTS specifically regarding Andretti's - Buford, GA. Full transparency, we do NOT know anyone at this establishment...
First, to credential this review: I am the CEO & co-founder of 2 nonprofits and a Content Creation Gaming & Design Firm. In addition, I am the Youth Ambassador for City of Atlanta - Office of the Honorable Mayor Andre Dickens. But enough about me. Let's get to the review...
After attempting, unsuccessfully, to reserve a party, we drove out to Andretti's on Saturday afternoon. From the start... The 2 door greeters were FUN, WARM, ENERGETIC, and WELCOMING. We specifically informed them we had an issue booking online. Without hesitation, we were escorted to the sales office. After a stellar introduction we met with "?James?", he was accommodating, pleasant & thorough on the party options which needed to occur the next day. We agreed to come in Sunday, April 21st at 11:30am. Be advised: If you need to book/reserve an event, please contact the sales office at least 72 hrs in advance!
Now, here is our experience on Party Day...
It was gloomy & rainy outside, but the greeter was on-point with her kind & welcoming demeanor. We arrived with a few party essentials (balloons, party favors, etc.) and were escorted to the ANDRETTI DINING area. Our party was guided by RAKIEM, he was professional, understanding, supportive, friendly, and ALL-IN with making our experience far exceed satisfactory.... HEY ANDRETTI's CORPORATE OFFICE, it is employees of this caliber that well keep the business intact, elevate the customer experience, ensure staff dedication to consumer statisfaction & business efficiency and growth. I hope to see RAKIEM ascend to General Manager before the end of 2024. Why? He is WORTH it!
Next, Rakiem introduce our hostess for the day, Genevieve. She was soft-spoken, prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable, just what every party needs. Yes, she that person & we appreciate the excellent customer service. The other gentleman & lady who jumped in to help Derick & Maniya. They made sure we able to access the Internet and direct our party-goers to scheduled events. We LOVED all of their, individual and collective, energy & respectful nature.
On to the racing, gaming, bowling, and arcade experience... We encountered one minor issue (game not marked out of order) which we address with the staff. The tickets were refunded/credited to the cards without incident.
Our overall experience was DYNAMIC, LIVELY, and FUNNNN!
Let's not forget food/beverage. Hot, fresh, and portion-appropriate says it all.
Going forward, if we continue receiving the unbelievably outstanding service, we will host events & other functions in partnership with Andretti - Buford, GA. And they have the employees mentioned in this review to THANK!!
We welcome Andretti's to contact us & we will be...
Read moreI went with my Husband, Stepson, daughter in law and son. When we entered the facility, the wait was not long and getting waivers done was simple enough. Jonah is 12 and was measured at home as tall enough for intermediate track, but their height measurement thing showed different so they made him ride junior. There are different lines for which age group you're with, and the adult line was packed, intermediate line was packed and junior line was really short. Only us and one other kid and parent. Everyone that was in line when we got there plus a good 10 more folks moved along while we still waited. It became apparent that they were waiting for more kids to get in the line, but none came. eentually they let just the two of them go. I couldn't figure out where to go to get good videos of them going down the tracks. We are separated by a wall of glass and we couldn't be heard by our family. I don't get why we cannot go in with our kids. Even if we have to stay on the sidelines. I tried to find my husband, but trying to figure out where and when yours is coming by wherever you're standing is really difficult. I recorded the wrong people racing; I didn't know when it would end or where. There need to be disgnated viewing places for whatever track you're looking at and signs that say what age group is on that track. There also need to be different looking helmets so you can tell which is yours. He waited in the car for at least 20 min. Finally when they started racing, his cart was so stupid slow that neither kid had any fun. They obviously mess with speeds and all controls to make things go a certain way. They will just halt your kart if they feel like it. Jonah's car was never allowed to pass the other, they continued to slow him down every time he got close. He waited forever for absolutely no fun. He might not be a tall kid but he is older and would have had so much more fun if they had let him go with his age group. I don't see why if I'm okay with it he can't do that. I signed a waiver, I am clearly not suing if there is an accident. It's nuts. And why couldn't we request to all race together one time? Why is that not an option at all? The system was down that told the scores so there's no way to keep lap times and no way to know where you placed and they offered no discount for the inconvenience and cared none for the fact that the race is all about who wins. That's the point. When it was finally done, I decided to go on and buy some arcade time to try to have som. Waited in line for a long time and when it was finally my turn they told me that they couldn't give me the wrist bands to put on my family, that they had to place them. I didn't even know where they were, so I had to lose my spot and go find my family. When I did we all were so perturbed that...
Read moreI came when it just opened and I like that we practically had the place to ourselves, games were good but just remember to save all your cards from the coin pushers until the very end cause once you put them in the machine they're gone. The main problem was during the Karting race, as when I went into the video room, they emphasised that the winner is determined by the fastest lap and that any reckless driving is not allowed. This is stuff I already knew before walking into the centre. On the starting line, however, I was put into the last kart that was racing behind everyone else. Another thing I didn't like is that since I was the last person in line, you'd think I would be boosted first, right? No. The two people in front of me got a head start and accelerated away while I was still slowly making my way up the incline. Either boost from last-first or everyone at the same time, not first-last. However, once I gained up to speed, that was the least of my worries, as I focused on hitting every apex and getting the fastest lap. I eventually gained enough speed to try and pass one of the slow, inexperienced drivers in front. Once I was close to him, I found an opening and went for it, but the inexperienced rammed my cart into the rail, and since getting in pole position or ramming into others wasn't my goal, I quickly sped past him. I was then shocked to see the marshal holding up a "no bumping sign" as a drove by, and I was unsure if it resulted in a penalty even though I was trying to be as safe as possible to decrease lap time and quickly avoid the situation. I did get fast enough to catch up, and I eventually lap the bad driver and passed the other driver who was in pole position, however again that wasn't my goal. The Biz karts ran pretty well, and the rest of the race went smoothly and the track was fairly simple. However, after seeing the results I was very disappointed. The board showing the "lap times" did work. However, it didn't show the correct ones. I was very confused,as from 1st-3rd place it read "9:40, 9:39, 8:40 " along with miliseconds i dont remember. From my experiences in rental Karting, KF1, and F1, I have never ever seen such a placement format. I recall the safety video explicitly stated that the winner is determined by whoever has the fastest lap, not whatever these numbers are, it doesn't take 9 seconds to complete a lap, nor does it take 9 minutes, so I'm very confused. If it's possible, could you please email me full results of my race, as well as how the winner is actually determined or if penalties were enforced as I do intend to return once I eventually understand how everything works. I will provide more specific details about my race once we are in...
