I started the visit with my wife, mother and kids for my wife’s birthday! Going in i wasn’t feeling so hot so i already knew i wasn’t going to order anything. We were seated fairly fast! And waited like 7 minutes to be acknowledged by a server! It was Audrie D! She was the slowest server for it to be not so packed, she was super slow. We ordered drinks it took 10 minutes. Ordered entrees another wait. So i finally said to her her service wasn’t the best and she took a jab at me for telling the truth. So i didn’t say much to her after that because i already wasn’t feeling my best and the service was the worst at best. So i asked for check and paid and drew a line through the tip and and wrote the amount i was only obligated to pay. The fastest thing she did was run to say “Hey, did you mean to write a line through it, i said yes and left”! Got home and spoke to manager Lindsey, when i tell you this girl is dangerous she is dangerous. I told her my experience, she then stated they were short staffed because they do that weekdays and she observed from afar and stated that i was a racist 🤣🤣🤣! I’m like i just wrote horrible service on a ticket how’d ya get that out of that. She said i was rude to Audrie, which i was not, i told her the truth in one sentence “Your service wasn’t the greatest”. And that she couldn’t help me because i wasn’t in the building and stated again i was a racist. For one i work with all types of races. I’ve been to this location before and left a review for the manager and the server which she was so sweet and the manager was awesome that night which again shoutout to Haley (our server) and Curtis (the manager) thanks for the wonderful experience the night of January 7,2024! I’m far from racist i just want to have a good experience especially for my wife’s birthday. But those are dangerous words to insinuate and say you observed and never stepped in! Sounds like a flat out lie. I asked for the general manager she said it’s on the receipt and wouldn’t give any info but gave me her Name! Lindsey, surprise i do write reviews and your lies i will take them all the way to corporate because that’s not cool to lie like that. Maybe Audrie is your friend and you don’t want to get her in trouble & to say that when i said the minimum while i was there, NO! I will NOT be revisiting this one. I’ll go to the dirty one in Gwinnett before coming here. Your actions/comments will be sent to corporate, you do not need to be in management! The only reason i did revisit because the awesome service Haley and Curtis gave us but i see the rest of the team needs some coaching on customer service. Leave your personal hate at home baby, it’s all business. Because now you sound like you didn’t like my skin color but imma still love you as a child of god! Be blessed...
Read moreLast night was my Birthday. As a family of five my husband and I opted for a more family oriented steakhouse in order to bring the kids with us. In previous visits MOG location was the better of the surrounding locations. We get there and it was a little over a 45 min wait for a Wednesday night.. we waited. We are seated.. server was fine. I believe her name was Katie or Karen.. not to sure. She did fine, a little impersonal and quiet but did the job as expected. Literally our entire meal was a mess besides our appetizers. My husband ordered 8oz med sirloin with sides, my teenager and I both ordered the New York Strip with sides and my two other sons ordered a half rack of ribs and youngest ordered an appetizer. Wild West shrimp which was fine. Husbands steak was supposed to be medium it was under not over.. was medium rare at best.. he dealt with it My New York strip and my teenage sons was meant to be medium and received well done with a bit of black char, asparagus was hard as rock. My sons ribs were burned and I mean burned. Chuck originally came out before the Ribs arrival when I told the server we just weren’t happy about the New York Strips, and we didn’t even say anything about my husbands Sirloin. We don’t want to complain but literally all three steaks are awful. We only discuss the two. He offers to re make them but after a 45 min wait to sit, 30+ min to get food we just want to deal with it and keep it moving. He offers to remove off the ticket and we politely agree and then the RIBS come for my other son. They were so bad, literally turning them over and the whole back side is black. I call the waitress over and she looks at it and agrees. We opt for chicken tenders. When she comes back she says he just comped the whole meal. I apologized due to the discomfort of the whole situation but never saw the manager again. I stated it was my bday and it just sucked that my meal turned out this way. “She said yah I know, do you want a sundae?” No what I wanted was for the meal to be correct and to enjoy it.. or not have to ask..I just said no. I honestly felt like this was an every day occurrence for them and with a lack of empathy that it was special day or that the whole thing had to be comped. I didn’t want anything but for the manager to just stop by again and give an additional acknowledgement that everything we ordered besides Wild West shrimp and steak house wings was awful. We did Tip our server on a miscellaneous charge. Hopefully things will change or it was an off evening but it definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. Won’t be returning...
Read moreSo my wife and were celebrating her birthday and as usual traffic and crowds around Mall Of Ga means no matter when there's a wait. Fine. We get seated in approx 15 minutes. Great. Notice a large group waiting at the bar and they beginning complaining to the poor hostess, being sarcastic and rude. Bad. Clearly, they're trouble. We get our table, order and begin the wait for the food to arrive. Lo and behold, the group from the bar is seated directly behind us and is louder now than ever before. Literally came to the point of portions of water were being flung over top of the booth back into our area. Got our meal yet could NOT eat in peace due the table behind us between language I have not heard since my days in military service, the water coming over top, and the sheer volume at which they're screeching. So I had had enough, as it was her birthday and proceeded up front to the hostess to ask to speak to a manager. Introduced himself as Jacob and as he listened to me speak, I could see genuine shock and sympathy to the situation. Both my wife and myself have worked in the restaurant business for 10 years so we know when we see fake (no matter how good) or genuine reactions. He offered to help switch seats as there really wasn't any where to go I declined but just asked that he be aware of the behavior and monitor accordingly which he immediately agreed to. From that moment on, the service immediately went into overdrive on the positive side. I want to commend both management (Jacob) and forgive me as i cannot recall her name, our server for making an otherwise destroyed night a complete and total recovery between the food, service and OUTSTANDING actions of management and staff.
