Topgolf Buford — Restaurant in Georgia

TLDR: waited 1hr+ for a "15-minute wait", some passive-aggressive/dishonest staff serve us cold and incomplete food order after many complications.

Went here yesterday for my grandmother's 80th birthday. Considering that she flew all the way from across the world to spend some time with us, we tried to reserve a spot days prior but were told they were not accepting reservations. We were assured that it wouldn't be too busy anyways, so we should just come in.

Yesterday, my father even took off work to try and go in person and make a reservation the day of. Still not taking reservations. Okay. So we come in at 6pm after taking off work early. They THEN tell us there's an event upstairs and that the 2 remaining 2nd floor bays are taken.

Whatever, we're told a first floor bay would be available in just 10-15 minutes. 20 minutes later, a worker approaches us in the dining area, and I tell her we are waiting for a bay, and plan to order/eat once we get our bay. She assures me that there shouldn't be any issue and encourages us to order ahead of time. So we place our order, and another some 20 minutes later, a different server starts bringing out our food to the dining area. We came to eat as we play.. The two servers "helping" us eventually say sorry (with a VERY unapologetic attitude) and that "you are welcome to bring the food and drinks to the bay you're assigned", but that they cannot hold onto the food and must serve it immediately. She also didn't offer to help us bring the 12+ items over until we complained.

We eventually speak to a manager. At the very least, he was able to treat us with respect as customers and understand our situation. He offered to fire up our order fresh when we get to our bay.

So after waiting a good 50-60 minutes on a bay that we were told would be ready in just 10-15, they take us to a bay all the way on the far end, and we finally get to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. They later bring our food out to the bay, and it's very lukewarm and dried out. It seems very possible that they took our food to the kitchen and brought it right back out to us after it sat for some 30 minutes. On top of that, we didn't get the sides that were supposed to come out with our wings (which they did bring out to the dining area???)

I'm not sure if they tried to play us because my Asian parents and grandparents have broken English and seem "easy", but we had to try pretty hard to make the most of an unfortunate experience. I can't recommend this location no matter how I look at it.

If you decide to go here, be ready to potentially meet dishonest, inconsiderate staff, and realize that you should probably just wait to order your food at your bay. I hope your experience is...

Tonight my two friends and I decided to have, what we thought would be, a great night at Top Golf to celebrate a new path in life my friend is starting. We were located in bay number 218 on April 14, 2025 around 7:30-9:30PM when it all transpired. It started off fine, we got some appetizers and hit some golf balls. We then ordered our entrees for the night. We were sitting there and maybe three different employees including a manager and B, our server, came up to us, telling us sorry (once) and that our food would be coming out soon and that it would be comped and taken care of because of the wait. We made it clear that we indeed do want our food at some point. We were sitting and talking, playing golf, and waiting for our food to come for another hour or so. The server comes back towards the end while we are STILL waiting for our food and gives us our check for the golf games. Our food was on the check and was comped as they told us it would be. I then asked the server if our food is coming out anytime soon and if we could get some to go boxes, and she told me that she was told we did not want our food anymore so they never made it. Excuse me? No one at this table, neither me nor my friends, ever said that but fine whatever we’ll finish our game up and leave. Then, who I believe was another manager, came up and started interrogating me about where this “miscommunication” came from, trying to manipulate the situation to somehow implicate my friends and I for this “miscommunication”. She was extremely rude and condescending, and kept asking me if we were the ones that said we didn’t want our food?? No, we weren’t. I made my case to her, sternly but not rudely, about it NOT being our words that caused this conundrum, then she rudely snapped, said “OK” and walked away. The word “sorry” was uttered maybe three times that whole night, with one being me saying “Excuse me sorry” through a small crowd on the way to the bathroom. Please explain to me how this makes any sense. We waited and waited, said MULTIPLE times to MULTIPLE people that we DO want our food but didn’t hear anything until they come over, more than an hour later and told us that we said we didn’t want it?? Very bad experience, clueless and rude staff especially the manager, but our server B was nice and polite. I would not EVER recommend anyone go to this Top Golf, and my friends and I will not be back. I will turn everyone that asks me about this place in the complete opposite direction. Let me just start by saying if I could give less than one star, I definitely would, we made a reservation a day ahead of time for a Tuesday night from 8:30 to 10:30, for a table for 8 people, everything started out great down stairs, a server came and took our food and drink order, shortly after, we were called to go up to the second floor for our table, where they we’re supposed to bring our food, we’ll our UPSTAIRS server was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE to us, we got up to our table, it only had 5 chairs for 8 people, one of the servers was kind enough to bring us 1 extra chair so at least the adults to have a place to sit, we’ll just so happened that chair was given to a handicapped person who may I add was paying for the 8 of us to be there. She came over and told him he could not have that chair and would need to give it back to her… umm who does that to begin with???? We were very upset with what had just happened, we went to find a manager who very quickly handled that situation. As bad as it was we were willing to let it go, and over and hour goes by and our food had still not come, nor has this server even come back to ask us about drinks, finally I look over and see her leaned against to the wall, and politely ask her to check to see where our food was that we had ordered over an hour ago, she got smart with me and said (yeah I guess), so of course that set me off, I again went to find a manager and ask for a different server, and told her do NOT send her back to our table. Apparently they had lost our food for over and hour, so they needed to remake it the entire order for all 8 of us. After they figured out where our food went, they did not charge us for the food in the end, the manager(s) we spoke with, we’re both very friendly and professional and did everything possible to make this experience better for us, and the server they picked to take over for the extremely RUDE and HATEFUL server was absolutely fantastic, this was our FIRST and LAST experience at TOP GOLF, we do very much appreciate the management on duty, but if you are working with the general public, this is absolutely not how any paying customer deserves to be treated. No matter what the case may be. We have never felt more discriminated against in our life. Her attitude and lack of customer service has ruined the top golf experience for us.
