I purchased a pocketwatch for my son's wedding from their online store, I brought it here to be engraved. The day of pickup I received a call and was told "I have bad news" They could not engrave the watch. I said fine, I'll just come pick it up. Then I was told when they tried to engrave it they broke the crown off of it. The girl who told me this had no empathy at all. She said per the store manager they would refund me...... like that was even a question? Why would you not refund me? she made it sound like it was a favor. She then told me I could re-order online, this was on Tuesday, the wedding was Saturday. A new watch ordered online would have arrived after the wedding. She told me they did not sell any pocketwatches in their store. I went to Zales.... purchased a new pocketwatch, just so happens that watch was to be sent to Jared to engrave. I picked the watch up on Thursday, the engraving was horrible, can barely see it. The monogram on the front was all the same size instead of the middle letter being larger ( as I wrote on the paper) the font on the back of the watch was terrible and the coma after the word Son was lower then the word, and Son was all lower case!!! WTH (see photos) I probably could have done a better job. There were also scratches on the back of the watch. I was so embarrassed, but presented my son with the watch on Friday. When I went to Jared to get my refund they told me if I ever purchased another item from them the engraving would be for free. I say take that money and send your people to customer service classes and engraving classes. I will never ever purchase anything from Jared again, after 2 failed attempts at engraving and one broken watch. This was the most ridiculous and stressful thing I've ever seen...
Read moreBefore the purchase of an engagement ring I wanted to make sure I was going to get a diamond certificate and report, and an appraisal certificate for the ring (free of charge), which they reassured to me by saying I can just come at this specific later date, that's when the appraisal guy was gonna be there... I made the mistake of trusting them and didn't ask for any written confirmation for the appraisal date, I went back and they told me if I want the certificate I had to pay because the appraisal company is a third party. On top of this, the diamond "authenticity" certificate they emailed me is not an official report from the laboratories in charge of that, its just a pdf (Not even from Jared, but from another company (Lali Jewels) which is supposed to be the designer who sold the ring) even though I bought it at Jared... and the Jared employee (Mum) along with the "third party designer" reassured me about the appraisal certificate free of charge and the official diamond report.
I spoke with the manager the second time I visited, and even though I tried to explain what I was told was a lie by the employee and this other guy, the manager just said I had to pay... I told her to check the cameras, and ask them to cover the cost of the appraisal because they misrepresented only to make the sale. I left with no appraisal certificate, no diamond official report, and probably an overcharged ring.
I also contacted the "third party designer" many times but there is no response after almost two months.
I'm just speechless about the lack of professionalism, the fact that they misrepresented just to make a sale, and how we customers pay thousands of dollars and they can't even think about covering for their own mistakes. DON'T WASTE YOUR...
Read moreMark at Jared Mall of Georgia is the best salesperson I’ve ever dealt with, not only in the field of jewelry, but out of every salesman in all fields I’ve done business with.
I wasn’t initially going to purchase a wedding ring when I first met him, my interest was only in simple, inexpensive couple rings. I showed little to no interest but just wanted my fiancé to try a few different types of diamond rings before she makes her mind. Mark wouldn’t mind spending good bit of his time to show us their collections, WITHOUT any kind of uncomfortable comments, and when we decided to leave without purchasing anything, he wouldn’t comment a bit about it unlike other 99.9% trying to hold their customers with “today only deal” or “special price for you.”
After bothering him for a few days, I bought a pair of inexpensive couple rings from Jared that I needed to again bother him for a few more days because of exchange and numerous resizing requests(this was after wearing the items for a few days, too). He wouldn’t mind assisting me at all, I could see he’s purely willing to help customers, instead of seeing customers as their money source.
I’d like to also add that every other jewelry specialist and the security guard at Jared Mall of Georgia were also very friendly and professional.
Like mentioned earlier, I was going to purchase my wife’s wedding ring at elsewhere, but their customer service alone changed my mind. Wedding ring is something you promise to wear for a lifetime, you’d definitely want to make sure it’s from someone...
