My 11 year old daughter received $75 worth of Michaels gift cards as her Christmas gifts. She really wanted to use them on glue, and other items she loves.Due to our numerous visits to our local Michaels, she remembered using the 40% coupon in the past, so before we left our house she calculated what she could spend, she is learning how to use coupons, and how to determine what 50% off means. Once she figured it all up on what she could spend, we headed to our local Mall Of Georgia location. After she shopped for the items on her list, she presented her coupon she had researched online. The cashier then crushed all of her hard work of calculating her budgeted amount she could spend. "Cannot use coupon on this item because its an everyday value item"? It was Not on sale, Nor on clearance, which we were understanding only items that were excluded was clearance or sale items. You guys know that children are going through a slim craze. And instead of honoring the coupon for the CHILDREN, you want to punish them by not honoring what you have honored all of 2017-11/2018. Shame on you to take advantage of a child!! I finally apologized to the cashier, due to the fact that she didn't make the decision to scam from Children. I have never taken the time to do surveys, or even complain. But when you start taking advantage of Children, this ole' gal is going to...
Read moreThis place is packed to the gills, with merchandise awaiting stocking sitting on carts in the middle of walkways. Add shoppers and you have a disaster.
The tops of shelves are stacked nearly to the ceiling, making it feel like a cave, and impossible to see the section signs on the walls around the perimeter of the store.
Items are also not logically placed, leaving customers wandering aimlessly, with no staff assigned to the floor to help. For example, T-shirt screen printing would logically be found near the T-shirt blanks, right? Not here, it's hidden on a bottom shelf on the opposite side of the store surrounded by painting canvasses. Need to use the bathroom in the middle of your aimless wondering for the item you need but can't find? Forget about it, because if they have a public bathroom, it's either not labeled, or the sign can't be seen due to the store being over stocked. Unfortunately, Hobby Lobby is not open on Sundays, otherwise I would never have the need to set foot in another Michael's again.
On a positive note, they are open on Sundays for last minute school project or...
Read moreI have always respected Michaels store and being closed on Sunday. But after visiting the Buford store yesterday I may never go again. I was buying a Christmas tree. While looking at the display I asked an employee was she sure they had them, her reply was yes if it is there, they are in the back. I gey in line & wait 20 minutes, understandable this time of year. Paid 4 the tree & was told to wait at the front of the store & it would be brought up. A tree was brought up & given to a couple also waiting. I was told they were boxing up the display for me. I asked if I was going to get a discount since I was buying a used tree. I was told no. I asked to speak to the manager & was told the same thing. I stated how was I to know if it was broken, she could refund me. Well I needed the tree, so I gave in & took it home. Thank goodness it came with spare lights, I had to replace 16! I am going to have to buy more because there are still some out! A NEW tree would not have this problem. I should not have to pay the same for a used tree as others paid for a NEW one. Your store...
