Ok, so our experience in the gallery and purchasing the furniture was excellent. We had great customer service and everything was smooth with payment and scheduling delivery. The furniture is beautiful and great quality.
The issue I'm having is with the delivery experience. We paid for them to dispose of our old furniture so we wouldn't have to deal with it, but when they got there to deliver they refused to take it away, claiming the 2 pieces were "unsanitary." Our furniture is not unsanitary. It is old and torn up from having cats and kids, but it is clean. When we scheduled this no one said anything about the furniture having to be a certain state. So now, I have 4 couches crammed in my living room and I'm out $200 for the disposal fee.
This isn't the first issue my family has had with their delivery service. My father bought and paid for delivery and they refused to take it in the house claiming the doorway wasn't wide enough. They literally left the furniture on the driveway. Spoiler alert: it DID fit.
It seems like lazboy is indeed, lazy.
The furniture is excellent quality, but if you can help it skip the delivery and disposal options and do it yourself; chances are, you'll be doing it yourself anyways, and you'll never see that money you paid for those services. â------- Edit: I added back a star because they did return to pick up our furniture after we complained; however, after speaking with my husband on the matter, I am even more confused. Apparently, the issue we were told by the delivery/removal team was that we have cats in the house. I'm sorry, but if that is truly in the removal policy (I have no idea if it is), then that should be stated. 50% of Americans have pets in the household, and if you are refusing to dispose of old furniture because of possible pet hair, that should be brought up when the removal service is purchased. It just screams shady business practice. If that isn't the policy, then your team needs to...
Read moreThe experience in the store was great. We enjoyed the service and help selecting a section for our home. However, after owning the furniture for about a year and a half we will never shop lazyboy again. We will also be warning all of our friends and family this as well. We purchased a $7000 sectional.
We required a warranty repair almost immediately after receiving the couch. The springs in the back of the couch were not installed properly and broke off so the couch sunk in and made a terrible noise. This was repaired at the local service center. Contacting the service center initially was easy. Getting status updates on the repair were difficult at best. When we did get it back, they didn't even repair the defect. They mixed our repair order with another couch and completed an mistake fabric correction. It was then repaired in our house at a later date. This was ok and we were satisfied. Now past one year, the wood under the arm of the couch has broken and one of the fabric seams has unraveled. Lazy boy won't help with this. They suggest you find a local repair shop instead of assisting in scheduling a tech to come out and help. The fabric warranty doesn't cover defects in the fabric, only stains. Post one year we are on the hook for the labor which is going to be the most expensive part.
Before owning this, we had a cheap set of couches from Rooms to go that cost in total no more than 1500$. Those lasted us nearly 10 years without any issues.
Lazyboys quality is subpar. Customer service post purchase does not live up to...
Read moreI had been looking for a new reclining leather sofa and love seat for over a year online and in the stores around the Atlanta area and fell disappointed and frustrated everytime. Finally I decided to vist Lazy Boy online. I called the store in Burford, GA and spoke with Stepney. She was very thorough with questions to try to understand what I was looking for. She asked me to take pictures of my living room and measurements of my current furniture. I had such a good experience with her over the phone that I decided to visit their store. Stepney wasn't going to be available for my visit so she asked me to work with Melanie, which I did. Melanie was just as thorough in person as Stepney and a pleasure to work with. She knew all the questions to ask me to make sure I picked out the perfect furniture. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Both ladies are very knowledgeable about the furniture. They were able to answer all my questions without hesitation and even brought up points that I didn't think about. I selected the style and leather color for my new furniture. Melanie placed my custom order and gave me an estimated date for when my furniture will be available. I left the store feeling great about my new purchase. I'm looking forward to purchasing new bedroom furniture with Stepney and Melanie at Lazy Boy. Give either one of these ladies a call to set up a time to vist the Burford, GA store. I promise you will not be...
