This where we stayed when we went snowboarding at Palisades Tahoe, California & would definetly stay again! ||Room Type: Studio Room (can sleep 4 ppl)|||Personally, if you stay here, we suggest to stay in an 'odd' numbered room or specifically request a room that overlooks the 'Red Dog' ski run. We loved it because it not only over looked the ski run, but we got to watch the snowcats running up & down the mountain side. Don't worry, the view from the 'even' numbered rooms, is just as beautiful, with the view of half mountain & half parking area. ||This resort absolutely lives up to its name by the simple fact that it is decked out to what you would expect a log cabin or mountain lodge to look like! Also, it is considered a 'ski in- ski out' lodge as well... which essentially it sits directly on the Red Dog chairlift and at the base of PalisadesTahoe! ||We were pleasantly pleased & surprised at the amount of amenities that were included with our stay. ||And with saying that, here is what you can expect ||๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ž๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ญ:|๐Ÿ”ธ๏ธFree covered, self parking (1 car per room)- parking is actually located below the building, which is technically considered the 'ground' floor & they will give you a parking pass to keep in your windshield so you don't get towed. Don't do what we did and accidentally extend your trip & accidentally book their sister hotel - Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge. No big deal, but it actually sits on Lake Tahoe & is about 30 minutes from the mountain. Beautiful drive & great little individual cabins (we will be doing a review on this location as well), but if you are strictly trying to be AT the mountain, it's not near as convenient location wise.|๐Ÿ”น๏ธThe lobby is only open between 9am - 5:30pm, and if you have to check-in after hours, BE SURE TO CALL THE OFFICE before you arrive & let them know what time you are arriving. Essentially you will have to purchase the lift tickets the day before you ski, via the qr code to get the discount. We HIGHLY reccomend purchasing the Ikon Pass (pre season) if you know you will be sking/boarding 3 or more days. Lift ticket prices are absolutely insane, and trust us...if you're skiing more than 3 days, buy the annual pass!|๐Ÿ”น๏ธThe customer service was excellent! Nick & Jennifer were absolute charms to work with & they genuinely wanted to make sure we were taken care of!|๐Ÿ”น๏ธLocation, location, location! Red Wolf Lodge is literally at the base of Palisades & steps away from not only multiple ski lifts, but directly across the street is what's known as the Village. This is where you will find multiple shops, restaurants & bars, along with ski & snowboard sales & rentals too. Also, if you're looking to purchase groceries and utilize the full kutchen in your room, there is a Safeway (local grocery store) 11 miles back in Truckee, CA (next to Interstate 80).|||โœ”๏ธ | ๐…๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐…๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ & ๐€๐๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐ˆ๐๐ž๐š๐ฌ||Happy Travels โœˆ๏ธ|- Ashley & Nate from...

This is an affordable option when visiting the Palisades. It's clean and functional but is starting to show its age. Stay on the top floor for two key reasons: 1) to enjoy an unobstructed view, and 2) avoid hearing every subtle or loud noise from the guests above. The interior is dated, too reliant upon overworked log furniture reminiscent of the Flintstones, and not all of it is in good condition (at least in our room).

Laundry is shared, and the appliances appear to be fairly new. The clubhouse and hot tubs are oddly situated on the roof of the parking garage; why views from lower floors are obstructed. It's as if all these elements are afterthoughts for "What do we do with this garage roof?" Despite the poor exterior design, the clubhouse interior is cozy yet feels too much like walking into someone's home...the kind of timeshare we would rather have with a full kitchen, fireplace, lounge chairs for four, and a dining area. I felt that if I walked in on someone on my way to the gym equipment that I would be intruding. Coed dry sauna and separate shower areas are also available.

Despite my criticism, the outdoor area is very clean and orderly and includes chaises, high tops, and gas fire pits. For the skiers, there's direct access to the slopes and easy access storage lockers for your equipment. There is no storage for bikes.

I'd stay again for the value, but as I said, only on the top floor. Oh, and be careful of the parking garage if you drive a 4x4 or van. While clearance states 8', there are a number of spots that are only 7'. The turning space is super tight. Better to park on the open lot. Also awkward is the turning into the porte cochere that doesn't really go through to anywhere except difficult parking spaces.

Overall, this facility feels like it was located in the last available space for an affordable option, so there are drawbacks to its positioning in an otherwise gorgeous setting. It's clean and relatively comfortable, but neighbors can be loud without intending to be. That's the other problem with the rooftop facilities, their walls allow noise to bounce off its exterior right back into another room. Oh, and loud AC, so go when AC...

RCI timeshare unit in Squaw Valley / Olympic Village. Came here for a weekend getaway in June and made the reservation pre-covid, and because of covid, we were able to reschedule without a change fee. We stayed in a studio which had a full kitchen (including a microwave, electric kettle, dishwasher, and stove), a fireplace, and a pullout couch which slept an additional two people. The wifi comes with the room and was fast enough for me to be able to WFH. The bathroom has a tub and there were plenty of towels. Parking is also included and is in a garage. The check-in process was easy (starts at 4pm) and the front desk was very friendly. When we checked out, the front desk was closed (it was before 9am) but we were able to leave the gratuity envelope at the desk along with the key cards. They do recycle the cards and thereโ€™s a receptacle indicating such. There is a small โ€œgymโ€ with a treadmill and stationary bike (no weights). There are hot tubs available by reservation. Overall, the location is good as itโ€™s right next to Olympic Village and the slopes of Squaw Valley. The decor was wolf-themed as befits the name and itโ€™s a cozy, homey stay.

It is a pretty tight squeeze, and we noticed it tends to be busiest on Friday - Sundays. ๐Ÿ”น๏ธ$30 nightly resort fee ๐Ÿ”ธ๏ธService animals only allowed ๐Ÿ”น๏ธIn the lobby, you will find an espresso machine (coffee & tea for free) ๐Ÿ”ธ๏ธAll rooms are non smoking ๐Ÿ”น๏ธOnsite club house (located on 1st floor & must have room key to access) which incuded a fully stocked kitchen & living area with a fireplace. You will also find a sauna, and a foosball table, along with a tredmilll, a sitting bike & an elyptical, plus a woman's & mens bathroom with a shower and restroom. They also had a filtered water dispenser as well. ๐Ÿ”ธ๏ธ Sitting on the deck (outside of the clubhouse) you will find 3 hot tubs, a BBQ & a fire pit. This is also where you will have direct access to the Red Dog chairlift (ski in - ski out) ๐Ÿ”น๏ธIn-room: full kitchen with all kitchen utensils needed to cook & clean (plates, bowls, cups, pots, pans, utensils, papertowels ect), iron, iron board, hairdryer, coffee maker, full size fridge, oven & microwave, along with shampoo & conditioner secured to shower wall. Also a queen sized hide-a-bed in the couch, along with a 4 person dining table, & an electric fire right next to the slinding glass door & balcony area (so cozy!) ๐Ÿ”ธ๏ธ Washer and dryer onsite (FREE) along with the ability to purchase laundry detergent (need quarters to purchase laundry detergent out of the small vending machine). If you are making reservations, make sure it says "๐™๐™š๐™™ ๐™’๐™ค๐™ก๐™› ๐™‡๐™ค๐™™๐™œ๐™š ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐™Š๐™ก๐™ฎ๐™ข๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™˜ ๐™‘๐™–๐™ก๐™ก๐™š๐™ฎ"! Don't do what we did and accidentally extend your trip & accidentally book their sister hotel - Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge. No big deal, but it actually sits on Lake Tahoe & is about 30 minutes from the mountain. Beautiful drive & great little individual cabins (we will be doing a review on this location as well), but if you are strictly trying to be AT the mountain, it's not near as convenient location wise. ๐Ÿ”น๏ธThe lobby is only open between 9am - 5:30pm, and if you have to check-in after hours, BE SURE TO CALL THE OFFICE before you arrive & let them know what time you are arriving. They have a lockbox outside of the lobby door and will send you instructions on how to gain access to the box, in order to get your room key. ๐Ÿ”น๏ธAs of now (for winter season), they are giving a discount to purchasing lift tickets via the qr code they supply in the lobby (this can change at any moment). Essentially, you will have to purchase the lift tickets the day before you ski, via the qr code to get the discount. We HIGHLY recommend purchasing the Ikon Pass (pre season) if you know you will be sking/boarding 3 or more days. Lift ticket prices are absolutely insane, and trust us...if you're skiing more than 3 days, buy the annual pass!

Oh, and loud AC, so go when AC isn't needed.
