Uncorked Olympic Valley — Restaurant in California

July 9th at 3:30 pm my wife and I stopped to sit in their outdoor seating to take a rest. There were absolutely no customers inside or out while we sat relaxing. The owner, who was not present, saw us on his camera and sent the bored bar tender out to run us off. I can understand if the place was busy or we were preventing customers from enjoying the establishment we might be in the way, but as I said the place was empty. When people who are probably hurting for business do something that would give someone a bad impression it is more a reflection on the owner and the way he chooses to do business. Fortunately there are options.

Update So, in reading your reply, we had been out walking looking to find a charging station for our car. We did not have or leave any trash as you implied. In addition we asked to speak to you and were refused by the bar tender. Have owned several service industry businesses including currently, I believe the appropriate response from you and your employee would have been to let us rest our nearly 70 year old bones until we moved on. We neither caused you a loss of business since there were clearly no customers and we did not leave anything behind...

Great wine selection and service. The lady working today was very helpful in picking out a zin. Clean, nice decor, and a great selection. Wine menu available by the glass...
