Scroll to the bottom for my MUST-DO recommendations at Palisades Tahoe! Had the BEST experience at @palisadestahoe last week for a much needed mountain getaway trip! And it was so easy to get to from SoCal. We hit the slopes with our @ikonpass and the top of the line demo skis they hooked us up with 🎿 We stayed at the base of the mountain at Palisades Village in a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen, fireplace and a private balcony with stunning, up close and personal views of the mountain. The convenience and amenities of the village = 10/10! With countless restaurants, bars, shopping, cafes and wine/grocery markets, we were steps away from anything we ever wanted or needed. And the luxury of having unlimited access to 8 outdoor hot tubs and saunas and multiple fitness facilities, was a perk I took advantage of every day after skiing 😎 With a 24 hr concierge, your own personal storage ski locker, ski-in, ski-out access to the mountain, heated underground parking, and so much more, they’ve truly thought of every possible detail. Thank you Palisades Tahoe & Ikon Pass for the amazing time and memories, I promise we’ll be back VERY soon!! Do yourself a favor and get an Ikon Pass and get up to Palisades Tahoe so you can experience it for yourself! You’ll thank me later ;) #ikonpass #palisadestahoe My personal recommendations for the village at Palisades Tahoe: 1. Go to the outdoor hot tubs on the second floor of building #4 before the slopes close to get a head on view of skiers and boarders coming down ‘Red Dog Face’ run 2. Go to Tremigo’s for the best margaritas and Mexican food (they have vegan options too!) 3. Join the outdoor après party at Le Chamois and order the Ginger Grass cider 4. Get a glass of vino at Uncorked Wine Bar 5. Go to Sun Bowl Açaí for breakfast and order the ‘Almond Power’ smoothie 6. Go to Rocker for lunch and get the ‘California Harvest Bowl’ 7. Take the Aerial Tram down from the mountain for a stunning yet butterfly inducing ride and Birds Eye view of the valley and mountain 8. Take an aerial yoga class at Palisades Yoga **Dont forget to bring your Ikon Pass as it unlocks tons of discounts all over the village!

STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES! I rode my bike from Tahoe City to Palisades on Saturday with family, and ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower. I have a severe nut allergy and purposefully ordered this because the chicken sandwich had pesto on it which was stated on the menu. The menu did not state that the Buffalo Cauliflower had almond paste in it. Luckily there was a trail marathon going on with an ER doctor with an epi pen and Benadryl. Thank god because I was 25 minutes from the ER. I believe this restaurant is owned by Palisades At Tahoe which is frightening for a big resort that has thousands of kids with allergies visiting yearly. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT. The waiter was also rude before this all happened.

Came here for dinner on Monday 12/16/23. We have been coming to Rocker for years, and dream of the Rocker Nachos in the off season (these Nachos have become part of our ritual) and were pleasantly surprised by the remodel of the restaurant and new menus! We opted for the Rocker Nachos (it’s what brought us through the door!) and the Korean BBQ Ribs. Everything was delicious, and our service with Dove was excellent, fun, and memorable. We had choice paralysis with all the awesome new dishes, so we will definitely be back to try more (and of course eat more nachos!!) If you haven’t been to Rocker, you MUST try the Nachos! Or don’t, because you will be hooked and come back for more ;)

To start, I would like to say that I don't usually believe reviews are worth my time, however, my experience was so bad that I feel the need to write one.

It took at least 30 minutes from the time we were seated to the time the waitress, Kerry, came and took the order. After ordering, it also took another 30 minutes to get our order, which was only 2 meals. Also, the order was not even brought to us my our server, it was brought to us by a different waitress!

Other people, (which had a different waitress than us) some of which were 5 people or more, got their food in no more than 20 minutes.

When we got our food, (a soup and a burger) we only got one napkin and utensils. We spent 10 minutes trying to get the waitresses attention.

The waitress, Kerry, did not even look near our or the other people's tables and did not appear for a long time. Finally we got up and went to ask for a napkin. When we asked, she said, in an rude and annoying voice:"Well it's a soup, so I didn't think she needed it".

She was rude when bringing the napkin, and she always acted like it was a huge trouble to do anything!

Finally, as we were finishing, she brought the check without asking if we wanted anything else (which we did). Also, she tried to take my burger without asking if I was finished with it!

When we asked to order an Apple pie for dessert, she said:"Well then I have to run the check again", as if it's a huge trouble to bring an apple pie and re run the check, which we did not ask for yet.

All the while, Kerry was rude, and intimidating towards me.

However, if you don't get the waitress Kerry, the food is excellent, and the Apple pie with ice...

We have been going to The Rocker for over 10 years, and it has always been a family favorite whenever we are in town. The location is perfect when you’re coming straight off the mountain or want to relax in the sunshine while listening to live music.

Unfortunately, after our most recent visit, we will not be returning. During this trip, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only three groups seated on the patio. Despite this, our server interacted with us only three times over the course of our 1.5-hour visit.

Our food took longer than usual to arrive, and requests we made after placing our order were ignored. We were never asked if we wanted refills or anything else. Eventually, we had to flag down another server for help. I ended up searching for our server myself so we could get our bill. It took two other staff members to locate her.

When she finally brought the bill, she walked away looking in the opposite direction and casually mentioned that gratuity had already been added. I left a note on the restaurant copy stating that I would not be paying the tip due to the poor service, but I was still charged the gratuity for what was truly unacceptable service.

I have since called multiple times and left two messages, but no one has returned my calls. This lack of response only reinforces our decision not...

We have been skiing Squaw for many years and visited Rocker Bar numerous times. Food and service are generally fine, but today was so bad I had to post. Our waitress was Lea, Manager Monica. We checked in with the hostess, then sat down outside and waited. Nothing happened so we got our own menus. Lea finally arrived and took our orders, but then, rather than place them, she went on to serve another table that had just sat down. The food took over an hour to arrive, and when it did, the grilled cheese sandwich was cold, and the "root-vegetable salad was basically some sliced carrots and radishes on a bed of greens. Meanwhile, Lea never returned to take drink re-fills. We spent nearly two hours total, even though we really just wanted a lunch break between runs. I complained to the manager, Monica, but she and Leah seemed to both think it was all very amusing. When the bill came, they had taken off the salad but still billed us the gratuity, which I made them remove. Bad day for them. In my opinion, they should be ashamed. The place...
