Although I would definitely stay here again, I would say that my experience in working with Sharon was less than desirable. To start I waited 10 to 15 minutes to check into the hotel because no one was at the front desk. It was around 8 PM. I had traveled from out of state and was in town for a funeral. I had paid for my hotel through Booking.com. When Sharon arrived, she asked for my ID and my credit card. I handed it over thinking only incidentals would be charged. I was wrong if Sharon had given me my total, I would’ve let her know that the room was already paid in full. I did not notice the $475 charge until Saturday morning. Clara and the manager were able to correct the error and I appreciate their efforts. I truly hope I never have to work with Sharon again because even when I called back on Sunday stating that the credits weren’t there, she was very condescending and stating that there was a system error not once did she apologize for her not giving me a total before swiping my card. I asked her to reach out to the manager to check status on the points. She stated I needed to call back the next day when the manager would be in. I asked her to reach out to the manager then she said so you want me to call him at home? I said I want you to rectify the error that was made on Frida. Just Zero accountability!! I feel as a manager in a corporate environment myself, she needs to be coached on accountability and professionalism as well as...
Read moreWhatever problems there might be don't matter as long as they keep doing that breakfast. I'm not a morning person at all, but I'm willing to keep getting up before 9am just to get that amazing amount of free food (the only complaint I can think of is how blah the turkey links are, but they got plenty of condiments you can throw on top if you like that sort of thing).
Grace (who worked the 5/4 breakfast) got my tip, but it'd be nice if management gave her a bigger one hint hint. I'll update if there are other amazing breakfast staff that work the rest of the week. Front desk service on 5/3 was super nice and personable.
The rooms (or at least ours) was significantly smaller than expected; even our queen-sized bed barely fit two people. I also don't know if this is every room, but our bathroom was just a shower rather than a shower-bathtub.
The main reason we booked this rather than the Extended Stay was because the reviews for the other hotel said that there were "crackheads" that wandered around the parking lot and into the lobby. Well BW's parking lot and their's is only separated by a short wall. We haven't seen any shady characters wandering around though, so make of that...
Read moreWe were very pleased with our stay at the Best Western. My wife has a limiting walking handicap and without even asking us, we were put in a room that had a handicap shower which was appreciated. The front desk staff were very good and helpful. And the gal who managed the breakfast room was very attentive to everything. She did a great job of making sure that there were plenty of food items on hand and that the place was kept clean and picked up. The breakfast area was very light, airy, and clean with a great food selection. I think it was one of the best food selections I have seen in a long time in a hotel complete with soy milk and Starbucks coffee. :-) One minor thing that we appreciated was that the clock by the bed showed the time but without a glare or bright light and that was appreciated. Two items that took a little figuring out was adjusting the room temperature. But a quick call to the front desk solved that issue. And the hot and cold water feeds to the bathroom sink were switched. The cold was on the left and the hot was on the right rather than the normal placement. But overall we would definitely stay there again if we were in the...
