The Standing Room Torrance — Restaurant in Torrance

Do yourself a favor and get yourself some delicious food here!! The Standing Room was rated in the top 10 for burgers in California!! So I got the Happa burger 🍔 medium rare with the egg fried well (I'm not into oozing yolk lol) I believe it is one of the most delicious burgers on the planet. Just the right amount of spice not too hot and the blend of it all is well magical. I shared the parmesan fries with my friend and they will make you so crazy you will want to order more to take home. My friend got the classic burger with cheese and loved it. She got medium and meant to get well. She loved it so I believe she is a convert. I mean well is for children. Lol. They have sodas too and I am posting a pic of the menu. They will be expanding the menu as they go. I am thrilled to see this location open it has some table access outside in the back and in front. Once things open there will be seating inside too. The people that own this location are amazing and the staff cares and they are impeccably clean. So much friendliness and kindness here!! The food though steals the show. You will not be disappointed. Oh and here are some details. Cash and cards accepted. Masks and social distancing to place orders inside. You can order ahead and pick up. Let's get this out of the way: The Dressed Burger is excellent here. Juicy and well seasoned patty that is perfectly grilled. All the toppings are unique but pair well to enhance the texture and flavors within the buns. But at around $16.50 after tax for a single burger is overkill even with inflation prices. I understand they either need to raise prices or increase sales overall to offset the overhead but this isn't a sustainable business model IMO. It's unfortunate since the food and service is great but I think the problem is mainly the location. The entrance for the parking lot in this area is just weird and awkward to access from Torrance Ave. You need to turn off into a side street that curves around a bit before getting into the very back of the parking lot. The plaza itself is also too small to attract curious customers driving by. The burgers themselves are well crafted and The Standing Room should take pride in that, but they need to probably need to relocate or convert themselves to a full service restaurant instead of a counter order model if they're going to charge...

Quirky burger joint off Torrance Blvd near Del Amo shopping center. First time here, wanted to try something different than the In n out and smash burgers on this trip.

Took a while to decide what to order since was my first time here. I like that the burgers are fusion style and have interesting toppings on them. Ordered the Dressed and Cash burger and a side order of sweet potato fries, the cook and the girl at the counter was very friendly and food was made to order. Went for a late lunch so we were the only people there, its too bad since the food here was good🤙Fries were hot and crispy, and the burger was filling and as described.
