We have been here a number of times. Last evening we went there for the Monday night Fajita rita special. Order Fajitas and get free Margarita. When our server arrived and asked us what we wanted to drink we told her the Fajita rita special as we pointed to the poster on the wall displaying the special. She laughed and said "oh we haven't done that in a long while. That's just an old poster" And besides no one ever ordered it from me before. We told her we needed a few minutes. Moments later a second waitress came by, introduced herself and repeated the same story about the old poster and no one ever ordered that special from her. We told her we specifically came for the special that was advertised on their website. She left the table. Then a manager walked by. I simply asked if they still had the Fajita special on Mondays. He said yes, no problem he would just have to figure out pricing and disappeared. Waitress number two comes back asking for a drink order. We told her we were waiting for the manager and his pricing before we ordered. She was a little pushy and said I'll just get your drink order and we will figure it out. So we ordered 4 margaritas, on the rocks, one skinny for an extra charge. Waitress 2 disappears. Comes back and says the only margaritas we could get are the frozen ones. I asked is there a difference in the amount of alcohol? It should be a very similar cost right? Nope only can get frozen. So we did and went on with dinner. Waitress number 1 shows back up and was clearly annoyed the remainder of the evening. Hence her 15 percent gratuity on F&B Food was very good! Best American Mexican food in town.
This is the third time we have been there and told the special we came for was not available. It appears to be the old game of bait and switch. I do not appreciate the hassle this creates for the customer. It's either poor management and lack of proper communication to the staff or, it is done intentionally. You be the judge. As for the issue of Frozen Margs only, well that only serves to enhance my suspicion that pre-mixed frozen drinks may contain less alcohol per drink and enhance bottom line profits. I have always suspected this wherever I have seen frozen drink machines. The whole ordeal spoiled our night out and put a damper on a nice evening.
Caveat emptor! Know what you're getting when you go here. Go for the food, period. Get your drinks at the bar and watch...
Read moreLa Fiesta Mexican Restaurant is lively with great service and friendly staff. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly at a cozy booth. The vibrant and welcoming ambiance made it an enjoyable place to dine. What I Ordered Los Compadres: Two soft flour tacos filled with grilled chicken, lettuce, and cheese, served with Mexican rice, refried beans, and homemade hot salsa. The flavors were solid, especially the hot salsa, which added a nice kick. However, the portion size was disappointing and wasn’t worth the price.
Tres Leches: A sweet and satisfying dessert. The cake was moist and indulgent, making it a highlight of the meal.
Fried Plantains: It is nicely caramelized and flavorful, though not extraordinary.
White Rice: It is well-cooked and straightforward, a good side dish but could have been more memorable.
Rum Mosquito: This cocktail was a winner! Generously poured, perfectly balanced, and refreshing—a definite recommendation if you enjoy a strong, well-made drink.
Final Thoughts While the food was tasty, the portion sizes left something to be desired—especially considering my meal's $45 price tag. I found it amusing that my girlfriend’s order had significantly more significant portions than mine, so there’s hope for other menu items to be more filling.
La Fiesta positions itself as a brunch spot, even on a Thursday, but I’d love to return on the weekend to try their full brunch menu. The lively atmosphere and attentive service make it a worthwhile visit, but be mindful of portion sizes if you’re...

In the mood for some Mexican this week and since I have never been to La Fiesta before I pinned it to check out, I had a couple chances to try the location prior but usually ended up altering my choice for one reason or another.
Not this time however, as I called ahead to put in an order of the Border Quesadilla with some Chips and Salsa. Added on a side of their cheese dip, which is just queso, but for some reason they don't call it that. In total coming to a little over $24 before tip. Not too bad, but the chips and salsa were $3 and yet the side of queso was also $3, kinda feels a bit overpriced there. Especially since the "side" of cheese is tiny, more like a shotglass of queso.
As for the chips and salsa, the flavor was, well, very cilantro-y. If you're someone who finds the taste of cilantro to be soapy, then I'd warn you to not get the salsa, it is packed with the stuff. Even I who don't find that taste, was still overwhelmed. The chips themselves are ok, but they are very greasy. Surprising for chips like these, where I usually find them to be salty and dry. They still had a nice crunch, but your hands are just oiled up after a single chip.
The best part though was the quesadilla, so much flavor! Meaty, juicy, cheesy, savory, all blended together and wrapped in a softer than expected shell. Wish I had just bought two quesadillas and nothing else! The accompanying Mexican rice was a bit mushy, too overcooked, and could have used more spice.
Overall I think dine-in would be a far better option here, but there are a few options that do well for takeout. Like that quesadilla, oh...
