UPDATE:
Used to have a full 5 star review, but between closing early and the max bright lights, I just had to adjust. I say it time and time again. If you want to close early, then adjust your operating hours!! Closing earlier than those times is basically wasting the time of your customers for your own personal gain to save on labor costs at the expense of your customers' time. Too many times, it showed up 1 hour or 45 minutes before closing, and they already were wrapping up bc it was "slow." Sorry, but I just showed up 45 minutes before close with 5 people and were sent packing. Unacceptable adjust your hours of operation, simple.
Also, they need to dim the lights again, ghe full bright feel more like a cafeteria than a dining experience.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Awesome food, great prices! Fantastic staff and ALWAYS fresh!!! !
Highly recommend 👌
They have a great buffet, which my family loves. The prices are great and the food is authentic and delicious. Great for kids too, my son loves it and enjoys the experience. He stays away from the spicy food but loves the Chicken Tikka Masala. I prefer a Vindaloo or a spicy curry. If you ask, they will make it extra spicy for you!
The dinner menu is always a favorite if you want something more unique. They do a great job of keeping the customer happy and relaxed. Very attentive and overall an experience you can't beat if you are looking for Indian food in the area! I don't do so much to go food, but I see a lot of customers getting take out while I am there, so I would assume the takeout is also great.
To top it off, the owner is a great guy, and you can tell he really cares about the day to day operations of the business. He is almost always there to greet you and make you feel...
Read moreI went here about 8 years ago and it was amazing and I haven't been back since I had a little one and I wasn't sure how he would like this kind of food. So we decided to try it out tonight for dinner buffet. The staff was very kind and they were very attentive. We were a little early for the buffet so they gave us drinks and let us wait. There's salad was very fresh and had a bunch of different dressings you could put on top. They had a chickpea salad that was good, two different types of rice, one plain one vegetable. You have to excuse me cuz I don't know the names of a lot of the things we ate which I was thankful they had descriptions of what everything was at the buffet bar. There was a round fried item but it was a little strange it had a potato inside and the potato wasn't even really cooked all the way through so we didn't really like that, and then they had one with shredded potato that was way better. The naan bread was the best thing on the bar it was very hot and fresh and soft, my son really like that. I really like the chicken marsala and also a spicy chicken. My husband has the goat but he said it was full of Bones which was kind of not appealing to him having to pick them out. They had two different types of deserts, one was a donut that was marinated in a coconut almond sauce, and another one was like a carrot porridge which I did not try. You get what you get for the price that you paid I think it was between 12 and $13 for dinner. I wish there was a little bit more selection. Food was...

I'm not the biggest fan of Indian cuisine, which stems from my lack of tolerance for spice. But I felt exploratory this week, and so I picked Shalimar to buy my cheat day dinner from. Going with an order of the Mixed Appetizers, Chicken Tikka Makhani, and Cheese Naan.
Total came to a little over $25 before tip, a very reasonable price for the quantity of food I received. The staff was very pleasant, and ordering over the phone did not prove to be too difficult. But how was the quality? Well when I arrived home I found the takeout was packed very well, everything kept warm in tinfoil, tightly sealed containers, and not a single bit of leakage. Impressive.
The mixed appetizer, which consists of vegetable samosa, pakora and pappadum, was a good way to start. I didn't end up finishing everything though, because I needed room for that chicken tikka makhani, or Indian Butter Chicken. Poured over rice it was a great curry, delicious in every sense of the word. It was rich and creamy, the chicken was thick and meaty, the flavors were almost addictive. By the end I was stuffed and foisted the remaining naan and appetizers off on my old man who throughly enjoyed them, as he is a big fan of Indian foods.
This was an excellent meal for a great price, highly...
