Extended Stay America Suites- Rochester - Greece — Hotel in Town of Greece

I am not a person who writes reviews. I just felt I had to here. I am a road warrior for work and consistently stay at extended stay, home 2 suites, Candlewood Suites style locations and I would say they have all been great. I have never had a bad experience. Have always been happy with my stays. Up until now... I am astonished at how horrible this place is. The lobby what is of it. Is unwelcoming. Customer service there is now. I was made to feel like I am bothering her. The carpets need to be replaced the walls need paint. I can keep going on but I have a lot more to say, if you can believe that. I don't expect them all to be newly renovated but at least renovated beyond the 80's. It feels dinghy, old, and unclean. Now here comes the best part. Feeling the way I do about the entrance my expectations I guess you would assume are high 🙃. I get to the room and my high hopes were dashed. I've been transported back to the 80's's again. So I say OK I can deal with it. It's only for a few days. The layout is OK. So I gather my belongings put them down and venture to.the kitchen (one of the main reason I stay at locations like these) to prepare dinner. Look in one cupboard nothing. No biggie it's probably in the other. Check the other... Hmm?!? Nothing. OK may be the other... Uh oh?!? Nothing... OK what's going on?!? Went through all of them... I find nothing. No glassware, no dinnerware, no coffee maker, no silverware, no pots, no pans, and when I say nothing I mean NOTHING!!!!!! (I shouldn't have expected much, but nah!!! I am an Optimistic person.) I am bewildered, how can a place such as this not have any of the the items they are know for? I call the front desk...uh oh I am bothering her again!... I ask where is everything that is supposed to be in the cupboards? She responds (With a "gracious" attitude)..... Oh they are at the front desk!!... (Now here I would not expect anything, but at least and offer) I respond oh OK?!? Do I have to come get it? Or... (I get cut off) No YOU HAVE TO COME TO THE FRONT DESK TO GET IT... Ok I'll be right there.... This is what I get... Photo added... This is so sad!!! And I am extremely upset. The only good recommendation I have is... Stay away, this is not the usually experience I have at extended stays. There are so many things that need to be done here that it will take a long time to get this place back to the standard Extended Stay usually has. I am not a person to complain but I will tell you this I am going to continue with my complaint up to corporate. This place shouldn't be have 2 stars (more like 0 stars) or have the Logo it does. I needed a place last minute and this place was the only place with an opening to fit the family. Upon arrival, I was greeted and helped by a very kind and sweet lady. She had informed me a dog pooped up stairs and said it was okay if I didn’t want to keep my reservation, which I thought was as kind. I said it was just okay as long as it wasn’t near the room. She said she wanted me to take a look at the room before confirming I’d keep my reservation. I was already getting the run down vibes of this place- but I needed a place for a night as we were traveling with kids. Upon entering the room I did a Quick Look over made sure everything worked and there was no bed bugs. There wasn’t so I said I would keep the room. I should have looked harder. After I brought the kids up stairs and our luggage I realized was a dirty disaster this room was. The walls clearly hadn’t been wiped down in ages the cabinets had crusted food as well as the fridge. The freezer looked like something burned in it at some point. Paint peeling. Carpet dirty and had white powder on it. Cigarette holes dust everywhere- you name it. The dressers were disgusting and its visible hand marks as well as the head board. Honestly the only decent clean are was the bathroom. The next morning we went down for breakfast and the dog poop was still there and a condom was as on the floor- A USED ONE! The grab and go breakfast was literally granola bars, muffins, and coffee- no water no juice not even an apple or banana. I was really upset because I purposefully sought out a place that had some kind of breakfast so I had to go out and grab some for the kids and I. The picture they had even showed more options but they had practically nothing but hey! The coffee was hot and they had vanilla creamer at least. This is a no Smoking hotel and the entire time all you smelled was smoke they let people smoke right in front of the lobby door. I guess it was my mistake for choosing this place. Or first time staying at an extended stay hotel and this will be our last time. Everyone that stayed in the room including my baby and toddler all have a mystery rash. The ac units filter was dirty as all heck so I kept the window opened the entire time for fresh air.

Unless you soo desperate for a place -50/10...

We stayed here a few months ago through a fight promotion. We stayed for 2 nights. The second morning I was cleaning up the room and making the beds, and I noticed that my husbands bed had dark yellow STAINS all over the mattress pad..which automatically alarmed me. I felt the bed, and it was not wet at all...so I figured that they obviously just had not come out of the pad from the last wash. Now my husband has NEVER PEED THE BED. EVER. WE have been together for 19 years, and again the bed was NOT WET. So I made the bed over the stains. I SHOULD have alerted staff but I'm not the complainer type. Well anyway my husband slept the next night with no complaints of wetness or any other issues. We checked out, and 3 days later I see a charge on my card for $81! So I immediately call and ask why. They claimed that my husband peed the bed, and that it was sopping wet when they checked it, and that it stunk terrible!!! So I politely explained what I had encountered on our second day of the stay and they did not believe me, they blatantly lied, again claiming that the bed was soaked, and that I should feel lucky that I was only being charged for cleaning fees, and not for a whole new mattress, they were incredibly rude, and I actually ended up hanging up on them!! I was livid! It is obvious that they did not get the funds from the person who actually peed the bed from a separate stay, and basically set us up to pay for it!! I should have called them right away the day that I saw it. So be warned that they may possibly charge you for FALSE claims. If I could have given them a 0 I would have. No amenities, and the staff is not at all accommodating, no room service. Your better off paying $30 to $40 more per night for a better hotel. Definite...
