It was horrible, we sat at the bar because the dinning room was full, and even though the bar was pretty much empty we had to wait for at least 30 minutes before the bartender asked if we wanted anything. After we ordered appetizers and drinks we also ordered out entrees, after getting the appetizer which it took a little while, we finally got our salad which at this point we were not offered water or bread, as we are eating our salad at the end of my plate I found a fake nail that it has fallen of the finger of one of the employees I called the bartender right away and he asked if there were any wrong with the food, and I asked him, I don't know you tell me! And showed him the fake nail on my plate, he apologized took my plate and excused himself and when to the back with my plate. After like 15 minutes he comes back and says that the manager will come and talk to us. Still at this point we don't have water, bread or the drinks that we ordered when we first got there, after waiting for a while the manager come out and apologized some more asked if there something that she can do, we said NO but to find the person that is missing a fake nail, she responded that the reason it took her some time to come and talk to us was because she was looking for the person and it was being taking care of. After the manager walked away like 35-40 minutes later we finally get our entrees we couldn't finish it of course and then my husband ask the bartender for a glass of water, the bartender apologized again and this time he said that he has been super busy and that that's why he forgot to offer water and bread. At this point my husband asked for the drinks that we ordered at this point almost and hours or so ago. The bartender apologized again and goes to the back for water, as he is coming back the bartender said am so so sorry I haven't offered with guys bread! Would you like some??? And we said sureee why not!!! And my husband asked the bartender for the drinks that we ordered almost 1hours ago, And so he goes to the kitchen for the bread and comes out to us and said well unfortunately I don't have your bread but I have someone watching it as is baking and will bring it to you guys in a bit! Another 15-20 minutes pass by and finally the bread come out. At this point we just wanted to just leave and so we asked for the check as the bartender comes back with the check, he looks at us and said you guys are good to go! Your bill was taking care by the manager! We looked at him and at each other and said okkk! We said thanks and left never to go back. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! I also forgot to mention that later on, the same night my husband started throwing up and had stomach...
Read moreI'm not the biggest fan of Olive garden but my wife does love it so we will go once or twice a year.
Well thinking about where to go to dinner tonight she said she wouldn't mind going to Olive garden so I said well let's call see if they have any promotions. so we called and we were told that if you buy any Andre you get a free pasta to take home with you.
I can go for that I think that I was going to generally is overpriced and I'm generally disappointed in the portions and quality of the food that I get for what they charge but if they're going to give me an extra dinner to take home that evens things out.
When we arrived we found out that the person we talked to on the phone was either mistaken or intentionally misled us no way to know and they in fact had no such promotion.
We still order dinner because we're there and we're not going to get up and leave and try to figure out what else to do.
The soup and salad was fine perfectly good super perfectly fine salad nothing spectacular but no complaints.
I think charging people almost $5 for a glass of soda is absolutely outrageous but that's kind of besides the point I guess. Refills were gotten upon request only.
As for the actual pasta itself... One came with four small nodules of steak Maybe the size of a quarter each the other came with 15 rigatoni and four pencil thin slices of fried chicken. That along with two beverages came to 50 some dollars.
The food wasn't Worth it and it was just passable as far as quality goes. The service was okay as long as you don't mind an eccentric server who overshares.
All in all we wouldn't have gone if we were not told that promotion was going on and this visit just backs up why that is.
If they're having than ever-ending possible or something like that or the get a free dinner to take home sure it can be an okay dinner. Outside of those promotions stay the heck away. There's a reason it was dead as a doornell at dinner...
Read moreSlow service and impossible wait times. I've given up on trying to eat here. Sorry, but I'm not waiting 45 minutes to an hour to eat at olive garden on a weekday. Weekends are even worse. Hard to believe that it's more difficult to get a table at a mid-level chain restaurant than Morton's Steakhouse.
Waiting area is insufficient. 8 people sit while 25 lean against the walls for an hour. In the rare event that you are seated within a reasonable time frame, the service is exceptionally slow. I once walked out because I was seated and a server never came to take my drink or food order. The place wasn't busy at all and I waited 15-20 minutes for a server to show up until I decided enough was enough. I've given this place several chances and every time, I've said to myself, "this is the last time". Completely unacceptable.
If you're a veteran, don't even think about trying to get your free meal here on Veterans Day. You could have staffed an entire brigade with the amount of people crowded into the waiting area. That figure does not include patrons such as myself that turned around and left when they learned that the wait time was over 90 minutes. Personally, I feel that my time and dignity are more valuable than a free plate of food at an otherwise average eating establishment. Don't degrade yourself by waiting for a table here.
In conclusion, this place is always way too busy. I enjoy the food at Olive Garden but I can't justify the wait time. In all fairness, Greece is getting out of control. It's over populated with consumers and traffic is constantly congested on Ridge Road. A potential solution would be for Olive Garden to expand their establishment to create more seating and staff in order to accommodate an increasing population and growing customer base. Until that happens, I don't imagine I'll be back. Don't...
