I will NEVER stay at this hotel again or any hampton inn again for that matter. I have never been so dissatisfied with a hotel in my life. It is absolutely unprofessional how this hotel is ran. I travel all the time and know how hotel customer service is supposed to be! I'm so disturbed with the service here! UNBELIEVABLE! Upon staying here the room was so dirty! Walls had dirt all over them, chair was so outdated, broken and full of stains and dirt! The sheets were clearly not changed to fresh ones they were literally turned over inside out which I do not understand. If you're going to do all of that, why not just change the sheets? The fridge had junk all behind it from previous people, handprints all over the window, I could literally go on. When calling the front desk and giving complaints and specifically asked for someone to come see everything and could we get a refund and go home she stated she would "have to let the supervisor know tomorrow and that a refund wasn't 100 percent possible" so we asked could we at least get a different clean room and she said she needed to see if one was available. Eventually she found one a floor higher up. We went to that one which was much cleaner but still had some issues as well. Fastforward to today my mom and I both have been calling all day to get mine and my sons jackets returned to us and nobody will go and check the room to get our winter jackets! I know for a fact both mine and my sons expensive north face jackets are in that room closet but nobody seems to care about helping. Took my number and stated they will let me know. That was 9am this morning it is now 7pm. I been calling all day and all she can say is when they check they will let me know! It went from when the person in the room checks out they will let me know to now this person hasn't even left. I do not think anyone is occupying this room and I'm being treated horribly. Even if someone is in this room how hard is it to just respectfully ask the gentleman to return the the 2 jackets to the front desk? So discusted! These photos do not even give justice to how bad it was! The smell was just awful! I will be calling cooperate tomorrow morning! UPDATE: THE STAFF STOLE MY JACKETS! Be careful with your belongings here. They will...
Read moreMy family and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Rochester-Greece New York over the weekend. On Friday my son had car trouble on the way to meet us which delayed our departure from Indianapolis, IN. So, I proactively called the hotel to make sure we could secure a late check-in. Earlier that day I had received an email that I could check in on my phone but was not able to use this feature. I spoke to a man at the hotel that assured me that check-in is 24/7 and someone is on staff for check-ins 24/7. The car trouble took longer than anticipated and after driving for 9 straight hours we arrived at the hotel exhausted at 4:30 am. Upon arrival the sliding door entrance would not open, a sign said to use the intercom for after-hours check-in, but there was not an intercom and I could not see anyone at the desk. After waiting several minutes, my son tried to slide the doors open manually and they opened. When we were inside I noticed no one was visible at the front counter. We waited for approximately 10-15 minutes and several times called out "hello?" and no one answered. I called the hotel line to see if someone would pick up. No one did. I eventually called the corporate number and started to speak to someone when a woman appeared from the back finally and it was blatantly obvious by the indentations on the side of her face that she had been sleeping. She checked me in and informed me that there would be a $120 refundable deposit on top of my room charge which I was not aware of, but was too exhausted to complain. I had booked a king room with a pull out sofa for my son. When we got up to the room the plastic bag in the closet that usually holds the pillow/blanket for the pull out was empty. My husband went back down to the desk and he was told there were no extra pillows and was given a blanket that he had to roll up and use as a pillow. The bathroom sink was clogged and when my husband went back down to the front desk when we woke up in the morning, he spoke to a female manager who did not care about our experience and told us they didn't have any...
Read moreUpon checkin I was given my Hilton gold snack and drink which was a bottle of water and a bag of sweet potatoes chips. I went up to my room and ate two of the chips and immediately spit them out, I checked the date and the Hilton snack they gave me was expired 6 months prior. I went to the front desk and they replaced it with a cup of noodles. Also, the hotel room had a broken AC unit that gave off a funky smell and would never get cold, making it very hard to sleep. Despite all of this, I inquired how much it would cost to extend my stay until the end of the weekend and I was quoted priced very inconsistent with those available online. I’m not sure if this was a mistake or them trying to make some extra money. I also reached out to see if they could accommodate a later checkout (I checked their website prior and they had 12+ rooms available) and they gave me 45 minutes post checkout. Not only did I not receive a decent late checkout which is available to Hilton gold members when available but I was given expired food and a room that didn’t have good AC. Also the breakfast in the morning was questionable, the yoghurts were warm and the waffle station was a mess and totally gross with semi open containers of syrup mixed in with unopened packages making everything sticky and gross. Property is not well kept with garbage often seen outside. Overall as a loyal Hilton member this property is disgusting and doesn’t care about loyalty. I was happy to overlook the the expired food in exchange for a decent hotel stay with my loyalty recognized but none of these expectations were met.
UPDATE: They charged my card twice for the same transaction. Oddly, they charged my card again a few hours after posting this review which is a bit suspect. I’ve reached out to them regarding the double charge and they said they are unaware of how to fix it and did not offer any solutions. I’ve had this reviewed by my credit...
