For 3+ months, most Starbucks in this region were out of most paninis. Supply shortages are one thing.
Today, I accidentally ordered the wrong thing due to a misunderstanding with a promotion in the app. I was able to correct it before I received the item, however they could not credit my account for the product I intended to purchase. Since they were unwilling to refund and ring out the correct item, I am expected to return and purchase the correct thing. To clarify, the app said to purchase a lunch item (a panini), any egg bites (red pepper ones) and "a Dragon Drink." I ordered a dragonfruit frappe for myself, and a dragonfruit refresher as part of the promotion. However a refresher and a dragon drink are slightly different products, and only one actually counts for the promotion. I have no interest in spending another $5 or whatever on a drink after already wasting however much on the refresher. I would've liked credit in-app at the very least. At the most, I was asking to be refunded and properly rung out, which would take at most 3 minutes. I'm a little disappointed.
I can't recall if the panini price has increased since it was last available nearly 4 months ago, however the quality varies from the same to worse. It's no longer worth the price to refill my starbucks card, and I'll be making my own paninis at home with better quality ingredients from now on. I am grateful that the bottom of the panini bag broke in my new car, falling right out onto the seat, rather than waiting until I was walking inside to split and fall on the ground.
Frankly, if you like coffee and barista-made drinks, you're welcome to pay the increasing prices and still be told the inclusion you want is unavailable due to supply shortages. If you think the food will be worth it, I can assure you that most diners will have a more enjoyable dining experience from variety to quality. You can't really screw up prepackaged, often frozen food, yet Starbucks still manage to be subpar.
The only things I might suggest are the things no one has to remove from the package to further prepare before you eat. Also CakePops and...
Read moreWorst Starbucks experience of my many years as a loyal customer. When I arrived to pick up the order, I placed online, 10 minutes after it was scheduled to be ready, it was not there, and the store manager said they had given it away to someone else and could they remake my order. Unfortunately, I was running to an appointment and only had time to swoop in and pick up my order. When I said, I needed to check to see if I could take the time to have them remake my drinks which would take over five minutes, they didn’t seem inclined to give me any time to make that decision and just kept asking do you want the drinks. While I was waiting for my appointment to respond to me to let me know if I had time for them to make the drinks, I asked them if they knew they had given my drinks away. Why didn’t they just remake them? They said because they had two people with the same first name and they we weren’t sure which order needed to be remade. I asked if they knew they had to redo an order, why didn’t they just redo both so that the correct order would be waiting for me when I arrived? They told me if I was going to have an attitude like that I needed to leave and getting upset with them over coffee was ridiculous. I said I would be happy to leave and that I would be calling their corporate office. No coffee, no refund no more...
Read moreHit or miss when it comes to making my coffee the way I like it(depending on who is working the shift when you visit). Lately theres been a caramel shortage and it is very unfortunate because I've had to substitute for dark caramel or switch my drink entirely, I only like iced caramel macchiato as I've only begun drinking coffee this year in January. However with that being said, either the drinks are hit or miss, and the drive through line is hit or miss. I can tell you right now, you'll be in the drive thru line and think to yourself "Maybe if I go inside it will be quicker". WRONG! I can tell you right now, they are busy making mobile orders, delivery service orders, and drive thru orders all at once. You'll be waiting to be greeted, and waiting the same amount of time it would have taken to go through the drive thru in your nice comfy car seat with your cool air conditioner blowing, no mask, and your favorite song on the radio. Your best bet is to place a mobile order while you wait in the line, by the time you get to the window you'll have your drink, scan your phone and be on your way. (The line is thee worst in the morning and...
