Good little sandy beach on the southern end of Lake George. Went on a summer Saturday afternoon and it wasn't terribly crowded, less than Iexpected for a beach. Read moreThe Dog Beach is the least crowded of the four Lake George beaches and the only one to allow our four-legged friends to join us for a swim. It's located between the Lake George Steamboat Company and Million Dollar Beach, just off the main business center. The beach has waste disposal stations for the occasional puppy poop, but no other amenities - no lifeguards, no bathrooms, no food concessions - just sand and water. Like all Lake George beaches, there is no fee to access the beach. Park at the adjacent Million Dollar Beach parking lot ($10/day) or on the street ($2/hour). Bathrooms and food concessions are available at the Million Dollar Beach, just a few steps away, or try one of the many restaurants in the main business district a block away. There is no official season for the Dog Beach, so you can bring your canine companion any time...
