This was one of those chances you take when very few restaurants are open and your really hoping for a great surprise. Well " SURPRISE " , and I mean that in the best of ways! The ambiance is almost magical, and then comes the service, by Paul, our waiter, who gave us unerring service that one would expect at a club 21, or "tavern on the green " ! Now comes the food, well that had us both sit back in our chairs and say "wow"! We both were surprised first by the size of our meals and then the absolute flavor and texture of a prime rib that we hadn't experienced in many years! I don't know if I can really do this little country restaurant, off the crowded main street of Lake George, but please, put this on your list of places to eat and enjoy a meal you will not forget. I hope the head cook doesn't get a big head over this but takes this as a compliment that makes him continue to strive for that same excellence he has achieved now! I want to thank the owners of George's restaurant, Paul our friendly attentive waiter, and of course the cook who made our meal which for us has set a standard few may never reach! Five stars are not enough to grade this great experience!

I have been to lake George before but in fall time .. after October there is nothing much .. the whole town is closed . We went a couple of weeks back .. summer is the time to be in lake George.. This place is awesome .. lots of parking in beach (10$ per car though).. very well maintained beach.. well it’s really not a beach but a lake :) life guards with open swim lanes in the lake . Water is so pure .. since it was a hot day , we were able to enjoy the swim . Kids loved it !! They also have very well maintained rest rooms and shower. Lots of shops are very close to the beach.. overall it was a very enjoyable experience .. there was also a barbeque spot opposite with benches to eat .. just make sure the kids cross the road with adult guidance ..

Also called the million dollar beach, Lake George beach was a fun place to visit on a hot summer afternoon. The parking lot is huge and we were charged $10 for parking. The changing rooms, washrooms and showers were well maintained. The water is not too clean if that is very important for you. The areas designated as the beach weren't too deep and had waves too. The lifeguards were very vigilant and as the day progressed, they started closing down some areas of the beach. Overall, we spent a fun 2 hours here swimming and watching all the activities (boat cruises, para sailing) happening at Lake George.

Lake George, NY, is a picturesque gem nestled in the Adirondack Mountains. With its crystal-clear waters, lush forests, and charming lakeside villages, it's a perfect destination for nature lovers and relaxation seekers. Boating, hiking, and exploring the historic Fort William Henry are just a few of the many activities to enjoy. The scenic beauty and tranquil ambiance make Lake George a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Small but delightful! Beach is very small and has rope on how far you can go out but water was nice and there is still lots of space(as long as it's not a holiday or busy weekend) Parking was $10 for the main beach but there is public parking near. There is a very nice facility right next to the beach that has lockers(75 Cents each),showers, and benches. Do note that there are no dogs, underwater apparatuses, athletic equipment, inflatables or floaties.

Wonderful place!! Huge area to enjoy ur day adventure. BBQ spots, play grounds and the best part is the beach!! Plenty of local restaurants and shops offering different types of food and souvenirs. Wouldn't recommend the Sahara halal gyro though!! Lot of places offering icecream and coffee bt most of them takes cash. Boat rental price is just way too high. Around $185 for an hour, plus $200 deposit and gas cost is also on u!!
