We came here by accident thinking it was the Biscotti Bros restaurant (because it's right next door), but when the girl behind the counter told us it was a Whiskey distillery and that we can come back for a tasting after brunch, we did just that!
We had such a great experience! I'm not a Whiskey fan whatsoever, but my boyfriend is and I am always willing to try something new. The girl behind the counter was extremely informative, outgoing, sweet and provided us with answers to every question we had! She totally transformed me into drinking Whiskey, so much that I bought myself a small bottle to take home! We sat down and had a tasting of 4 different of their homemade whiskeys, all of which were different and delicious. It's a small space, but we were the only ones in there which was great because we ended up having a really nice, personalized tasting that left us chatting with her for what seemed like forever. She was wonderful, the distillery was really cool (you can buy their 4 whiskeys there, including shirts and Whiskey glasses) and all you have to do is walk in and tell them you want a tasting. They allow one party at a time inside because of covid, but because everything is spaced out nicely, you don't feel so cramped in such a smaller space. Our favorite Whiskey was the Cloudsplitter and I also really loved the sugar moon maple Whiskey. This place is definitely a must go and is a nice thing to do in...

We had the absolute best time visiting high peaks. The product is fantastic, some of the best I’ve ever had, but the passion and the appreciation that Ed had put this place over the edge, from a great distillery to a true memory of our lake George trip!
For $5 you get to sample their line of products, which is incredibly generous. The cloudspliiter was my immediate favorite, with my wife picking the sugar moon, she’s not usually one to enjoy liquors but ended up leaving with a bottle.
Ed showed us around the place and highlighted much of the process involved with creating spirits like this and the attention to detail was second to none.
Thank you for the incredible experience, we’re leaving New York with a couple of bottles and an...
Read moreOne of our better experiences in Lake George during the “off season”. Teagan shared so much knowledge and foresight about High Peaks, he really made our stay in the area. We came up for the cold season and was pleasantly surprised by Teagan’s charming demeanor and knowledge about all of the products High Peaks has to offer. He is truly one of a kind employee that I would come back to see.
All of the samples were delicious and smooth. Yes, go for the sugar moon, but you would be surprised by their award winning cloud splitter and their Manhattan (so good). Stop by the Adirondack pub for some cider and fried pickles as well as the Moose Tooth for some dinner....
