Mattress Firm Commack — Hotel in Town of Smithtown

My wife and I went to this SLEEPY's to look for a new mattress. I had my reservations due to a less than optimal experience at a SLEEPY's location several years ago but I thought we would give it another shot. We were greeted by Sam, the store manager. He was professional, pleasant and asked us a lot of questions to gain information to assist him in showing us mattresses he thought we may like. We had tried several beds, all the while Sam was there for questions and NO sales pressure. When we finally chose the bed we liked, then came the negotiation. We got what we thought was a fair price and closed the deal. My wife and I walked out of the store happy that we just had a terrific experience.

The one caveat is...doing you homework with prices of SIMILAR mattresses before you shop. I found out that I could have gotten a SIMILAR mattress elsewhere for a few hundred less. Don't bother with the price guarantee they offer, it is not realistic. You have to find the SAME IDENTICAL mattress elsewhere for cheaper. When I called Sterns and Foster, I was told that the model that is sold at SLEEPY’s is EXCLUSIVE to them and NOT SOLD ANYWHERE ELSE. Needless to say there was not price adjustment.

None the less, the shopping and delivery experience was excellent and I have little regret that I made my purchase at this SLEEPY’s. Just be price savvy...

This is a magnificent store. I literally walked in and with Debbie’s wonderful help made a large purchase which would be delivered the following week. I chose a beautyrest mattress (13.75 inches) on an adjustable bed that had all the bells and whistles. I knew it was a big investment so I spent a lot of time there feeling the mattress and learning how to use the adjustable base. Debbie spent a lot of time with me answering every little question. I went to the store every day with more questions and more concerns, As if Debbie didn’t spend enough time with me she continued to be patient, caring and knowledgeable. I went back again Friday and that was Debbie’s day off so Scott helped me. I was considering switching to a tempurpedic mattress and adjustable base. He was kind and gracious to me as well. Unfortunately, through much contemplation I went back a forth day in a row and asked for a refund for my purchase that had nothing to do with the quality of the product, store selection or VIP service that I received. Without a hassle a refund was issued. That’s the sign of a good store. No pressure and within seconds I got my money back, it’s my future go to place for all bedding needs. Recently, my wife and I visited the Commack store in an effort to find a suitable adjustable bed, along with an appropriate mattress. I doing so, we were most fortunate to work with the Store Manager - Nicholas, who was truly outstanding. During the entire process, he was knowledgable, informative, extremely friendly and very easy-to-understand when he was answering any and all of our questions. In addition to his enjoyable, non-pressure approach, he was exceptional when it came time to provide a quote for the desired items we were interested in purchasing. Also, even though I had done my price research long before entering the showroom, Nicholas made sure that I was fully aware of any and all discounts and promotions that were available to me, thus maximizing my buying power. Most importantly, he was a fabulous listener and made sure to customize his suggestions on products to the personal needs we had conveyed to him. Overall, due to Nicholas and his professional approach, my Mattress Firm experience was absolutely EXCEPTIONAL and I fully recommend him and his store to anyone looking to purchase bedding.
