not going to say this is the best place i have every shopped but I was in the electronics department the other day and there had to be two associates and the department manager there and each of them were running around helping customers but each and every one of them asked me if I needed help. at some point I did have a question they tried to help me ask best as they could and I appreciated the fact that they were truthful about not knowing a lot. what really got me though was this one woman who each one of the employes in the electronics area tried to help and she didn't like their answers to her questions so she wanted to talk to a manager higher then the department manager so they called and called but no one showed up which only made this woman madder so the department manager went to go look for one. now i will say this woman was waiting for quite some time before and manager came and when one did come the manager gave her the same answer the other employes did and then the woman had the never to call the associates lazy and useless and tell the manager how they refused to help her. all i have to say was she wasn't waiting for a associate to come and help her, it was the manager who didn't respond to numerous calls to help her. what i think most people tend to forget is that the people that work on the floor helping the customers, that they are people and not slaves i mean every one there looked to be fresh out of high school, they go to school and then come to work and have to deal with customers who give them a hard time, its walmart they don't six figures, this isn't their dream jobs, their just trying to get by like every one else, if you don't like when its done to you then why would you do it to...
Read moreI never leave reviews but felt that this needs to be said. I was at the customer service counter for a long time (not the issue) one of their systems was down- totally understandable. There were 2 ladies helping clients. a gentleman in front of me was waiting for a very long time, one of the ladies was helping another customer and taking her sweet time, chit chatting (over 10 minutes) their transaction had been over by then but she saw him getting impatient and smirked and continued to small talk about everything and anything. She did this on purpose. total disregard for the super long line waiting because she clearly wanted to make him more upset. once it was his turn, she decided to leave with another worker (i believe the name tag said Lady) she said "oh i'll be right back" with a smirk on her face, as she walked past me i heard her say to Lady "maybe, we'll see" and they both started laughing. I was there for over 30 mins and she never came back. I felt this was super unprofessional, she was taking her time and laughing on purpose to piss him off. Is this what "customer service" has come to? she left the other very nice lady all by herself with upset customers. The gentleman said he will never be back and neither will I even though it wasn't directed towards me, she is at WORK. and she thought it was acceptable to make fun of her customer and leave right when it was his turn, they walked off hysterical laughing and whispering to each other while glancing back at him. This was done on purpose. totally unacceptable and ratchet behavior. I wish i got her name. She deserves...
Read moreI had to replace tires on my vehicle ... And I thought I would try Walmart because the prices seemed very reasonable for a decent tire. Considering I'm not keeping the vehicle much longer because of its age, I wasn't looking to spend a fortune on tires. I ordered tires online and set up an appointment with the Walmart Supercenter in Farmingdale New York. I must say, it was the all-time worst experience of my life!! I would not go to the Walmart Farmingdale supercenter if you were going to pay me and give me the tires for free!! Biggest waste of time ever.. all the mechanics stand around doing nothing.. and the manager in the auto center O'Neal is the biggest joke of a manager ever!! He could care less about work, let alone making sure a customer is satisfied... He stands around doing nothing joking around with the rest of the mechanics in the shop... Versus actually working!! I will say this... I ended up moving my tire order over the Walmart on Crooked Hill road in Commack... That store took care of me in a timely manner and got my tire installation done in a professional manner. I will not say all Walmarts are the same... But the supercenter in Farmingdale is the biggest joke ever... I don't know how they keep their doors open when nobody works over there... Not to mention no managers are ever around... I went there seven separate times to get this addressed with the store manager... Various times of each day... I guess the guy is more interested in staying home and watching TV than actually...
