This is a hide-a-way RV Park that I have enjoyed. This will easily accommodate a 40+ foot RV as we were in that size rig + a 20 foot trailer. Easy hook ups, level ground/gravel, approximately 50 channels and free WIFI. Nicely paved with asphalt and all inclines are not that steep for walking or for driving. An abundance of trees and the sounds of birds near the woods edge.
Nicely spaced between RV and 5th wheels - there is minimal sound of traffic from the road you turn onto to arrive.
There are two small washer and dryers, restrooms, and dog friendly with a short path to allow your dogs to be in nature.
One caution to Big Rigs is the turn to arrive at the RV park (pay close attention for the sign in blue letters) is that it is a abrupt 90 degree angle - allow yourself turning room, especially when hauling a trailer.
The pamphlet you receive upon arrival stating all of the general information that one usually asks is informative.
Walmart, JoAnn's, and Barnes Crossing Mall is close by as well - if...
Read moreOne night reservation: I reserved this a couple of days in advance hoping for a good night sleep on my journey from Southern Illinois to Gulf Shores. When making the reservation, I requested a level site with good Wi-Fi as I needed a good night sleep, and was planning to work from within the RV in the morning.|The campground was conveniently located near gas stations, and restaurants, yet quiet and secluded inside a forested area.|When I arrived, there was an envelope waiting for me and drove to my site. Campground was hilly, but having asked for a level site I assumed I would get just that. Unfortunately, it was not level at all. It was tilted and much higher in the back than the front. My leveling system was unable to actually level the RV, but I thought for one night it would be fine. Matte, unfortunately caused my front right jack to bend outward after several times, trying to re-adjust the jacks unsuccessfully, I finally packed it all...
Read moreThe Campground at Barnes Crossing is our 164th stop and we stayed for 5 nights. Checked in with Jimmy and he was super friendly. After paying with a check (cash is other option), was escorted to the site and unlike other travelers, had no issues with my 39 foot motorhome coming in or leaving. As it is a little hilly and terraced, there was a small leveling challenge but not too bad. Site was long enough for rig and tow and the crushed gravel well-maintained throughout the park with inner roads asphalt. Mature trees throughout the park so you can get some shade. For the pups, decent area to walk around park but headed to Natchez Trace only a mile away to walk them. Even though you are just north of a mall and busy section of town, the rv park was quiet. Nice place to stay and would rate a 4.4. Connectivity: Did not get the numbers but T-Mobile, Verizon and campground WiFi all worked well. Also had cable tv as an option but...
