Put our name on the list online… wait time listed was 15 minutes. Upon arrival was told it was a 40 minute wait. Questioned the hostess was told that the times online were inaccurate and they did not have control over it and it was a corporate problem. After waiting for 1 hour asked to see the manager was told there was nothing that could be done although there were a ton of empty tables. Was basically told that we had to deal with it and it wasn’t their problem was never offered an apology. After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes was seated. The waitress was super nice and was the only one that offered an apology. Waited 30 minutes for our food and the food was disgusting. The bacon had a really bad taste to it like it was expired, the eggs were not cooked proper, and received less proportion than the rest of my party. Felt as if I was being punished for saying something. I was contacted by the general manager about the visit. He was very apologetic and offered for us to come back for dinner on him. Unfortunately we live in Virginia and aren’t able to take him up on that offer. I told him that my main concern was that this did not happen to other people and the staff received more training and learned how to speak to their customers and know that an apology goes a long way with most people.

Today- We requested blackberry jelly to go with our biscuits. There are three of us. The waitress came back with two blackberry jellies. Two! She said we have to ask a manager now for jelly. I’m going to say they are on a downward spiral if this is company wide. Three people share 1 oz of jelly. One container of jelly is 1/2 an ounce. If this is specific to this location, they really should do some reflection on management and their capabilities. If it is company wide, they should also do some reflecting as well. So sad. I give them a year and they’ll be filing bankruptcy. One month ago- The food was great. I had biscuits and gravy, grits, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. 🥓 My server was great. I must say I was very pleased with the food. The grits were a good consistency, and the gravy was great. The coffee was great as well. The table could have been a little cleaner when I sat down, but other than that it was all good. Went back yesterday and everything was great. Two mamas pancake breakfast and grandmas sampler. I’m yet to figure out why they upcharge for plain hashbrowns. That’s crazy to me but they do. Hopefully someone can explain this to me.

We got right in, no wait. Very nice waitress, nice smile. I had country fried steak, mashed potatoes wuth gravy & fried okra. The okra could have hotter (temperature). My husband had the grandpa special. He had sausage (he thought was just walmart brand, lol). Grits and 2 over easy eggs. Eggs were over cooked & grits were lumpy & not hot. Our served heated them up. We dudnt get out biscuits & jelly until our meal came. ( I thought they used to bring them out before), but no biggie. While waiting, I run out to do a little shopping, ladies you know they always have such wonderful goodies, & sometimes just can't live without something. Meet very pleasant employee on the sales floor, nice smile, very welcoming. Went back my table, ate. They same employee later got be a bag for leftovers when we were in line to pay. Very nice cashier, friendly, again smiled. And even let me use up a 16 cents gift card (long story, lol). That made my day to clear it out. Over all not bad, friend. Kitchen does need some fine tuning. Easy parking for handicap. My husband & I are, so truly appreciated the no wait in line to get in: and on Saturday night. Worth the stop in.

My most recent trip to the Cross Creek Saltillo location was a mixed bag... Maybe because it was around lunch time, but the table service was not as good as it has been in the past, nor has it been the last 2 times I've been here... Today the wait was the usual 15-20 minutes, and once we got seated our waitress was very kind and took our drink order and I requested some biscuits with jam to eat before our meals came out... After a few minutes the drinks came, no biscuits... A few minutes later she apologized for forgetting the biscuits and took our food order... Well after a few minutes our food came out, which was brought to the table by another waitress. I asked for drink refills and inquired about my biscuit order... Halfway through our meal the waitress finally shows back up and refills our drinks. I asked about the biscuits once again and she immediately apologized and said she's just been so busy making tea in the back that she forgot to grab them... Fast forward 15 minutes or so to the end of our meal and another waitress comes walking by and plops down 4 biscuits with no butter or jam, then just walks away without saying a word. The biscuits weren't warm, and I hated to ask for jam after all that time waiting for them to come out. But after flagging down yet another different waitress, she gladly went and grabbed us some jam... We were all full by this point because we had already eatin our entire meal, but we decided to at least choke down those biscuits since we had to wait so long for them from the start... You can only blame the waitress for so much before it becomes a question of management for not doing their part in assisting these ladies... All the waitresses working there are just as sweet as can be, and work hard for their paychecks. But when they're having to do so many other things behind the scenes that it is affecting their performance and the amount of service that they can provide to the customer, THAT'S when something needs to be adjusted... They don't make a lot to start with, and when things go wrong in the kitchen, that's when those hard earned tips are effected... I myself understand that things can happen, and I work in the public eye on a daily basis... For this reason I pay my tip regardless of service, because I know it is not always the servers fault entirely. Overall, I still recommend this location. The workers their have always been kind, the food is delicious, and the store has a good selection of seasonal goods. I will definitely be back to this location again, and will re-review then. Thanks!

Wait time? A+ Meal Quality? A+ Check-Out Counter?...

Went to Crackle Barrel in Tupelo MS the first waiter we got never came to our table or acknowledge we where even there. We ask a waitress that came by our table and when the first waiter saw her by our table the one we where supposed to have came running over and I'm fixed to get yall but had already waited on the table next to us that came in after us. But I told we wanted the new girl we finally got the new girl she was very nice. But when I got my food I order the steak tips only got five little pice I told them I wanted the rest of my order and the Manager said you only got 5oz I told them the lady next to me got a lot more than what I got and he still didn't make it right. I know an order is more than 5 little pieces it most likely would have fit in a 1oz cup. I didn't get what I paid for. On the menu the steak tips was $9.99. When I got my ticket to pay it had $10.79. If I could give a double 00 I would with the exception of the new waiter. I think they didn't like I had a special needs nephew with us and didn't won't to sit at the first table that sits 4 as you walk in the dinning area because he don't like everyone looking at him. So the girl setting us wasn't nice either the only one that was nice was the new girl so I give her 5 stars. Wish I took a picture of my plate but was so irritated I didn't think about it. P.S. I work at a restaurant and know what 5oz looks like I didn't get 1/2 of that I believe that was on purpose intentionally done. If they had better management they have better service and cooks and better hostess. My mother's meat loaaf was burnt. I'm going to call corporate hope they do something and I don't complain but we were treated badly hope it had nothing to do with my special needs nephew because us not wanting to be sat at a table every one could see him coming in dinning area. To me that discrimination. He don't like to eat where people can see him. I WENT TO THE WEBSITE AND WENT TO MY PHONE COMPANY TO MAKE SURE IT WASN'T MY PHONE AND GOT NOTHING ON YOUR WEBSITE BUT A BLANK SCREEN CALLED THE NUMBER THAT IT GAVE ONLINE IT SAID GO TO THE WEBSITE SO YOU DON'T INTEND TO FIX NOTHING JUST RESPONDED TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD JUST LIED THAT JUST LIKE THE DEVIL ALWAYS LOOKING GOOD WHILE LIEING TO YOU. YOU JUST RESPONDED TO MAKE OTHERS THINK YOU TRYING TO MAKE IT UP. MOST LIKELY GOT THE COMPUTER PROGRAM TO RESPOND A REAL HUMAN PROBABLY NEVER...

I've been to Cracker Barrel many times it's always been great here in Tupelo. It has went down tremendously. There was no line and me and my other companion waited for someone to show up to get us a seat. 7 to 10 minutes. The greeter was helping with tables and said she would get to us as soon as she could. A lady was waiting as well for an interview. We were seated there was no silverware and they were out of some sodas including the only diet soda available. It took awhile for our drinks , I wasn't given a straw. And we finally got our drinks and ordered our food and another order to go. We waited and waited and needed refills and asked if we could go ahead and get our biscuts. We were told you had to ask for them in advance now so he will go ahead and bring them. We waited and then the food came with the biscuits. My food was cold the biscuts were cold no silverware he had to go get us some. The gravy was like glue and cold, the beans were cold the potatoes and gravy was cold and the chicken was cold. It was gross. I ate what I could and I couldn't continue to eat it. The waiter asked if everything was good and I just told him the truth he brought the manager over and I told him Also. I wasnt wanting to complain but nobody wants to eat cold food there paying money for. He was nice and accommodating and said we didn't have to pay for our food. I told him it wasn't about the money it's just bad service and it makes me not want to come back. We waited for someone to come back to our table and nobody ever did and the to go order we made I never seen it. So we left. It's just a shame that most ppl working today don't care about their jobs or have any work ethic at all. I'm not blaming all the employees either it could be they are tired of low wages so they don't care about customer service, it could be poor managment, it could be short staffing, and it could also be the ppl they hire who gives zero care about their job they are just there to get a paycheck. Whatever the reason is going to put ppl out of business. Time to make some changes Tupelo. Give better wages, hire good dependable ppl who actually have pride in their job and change managment if need be, but your gonna have to do something. And stop hiring ppl for kick backs. Hire someone who does a good job no matter what race or...
