I am writing about my deeply disappointing experience with Helzberg Tysons, where what seemed like a smooth buying experience with Helzberg turned into a prolonged nightmare.
My partner and I visited Helzberg and were assisted by Ms Kelly Yang in finding a ring that fit our needs. We found a ring I loved and my finger size was confirmed to be a size 5 by Ms Yangâs colleague. A few days later on February 19th, my partner visited the store and purchased the ring. We were advised by Ms Yang that the ring will come as a size 6 from the factory and will then be sent to a secondary site to be further sized down to fit my size 5 finger. Although we felt this was a bit odd, Ms Yang made it seem as though this practice was business as usual. We visited the shop again on March 23rd once the ring had come in from the factory with my mother, my partner, his mother, and myself (a trip that my mother and I made from Louisiana just for this âconfirmationâ of my sizing), and âconfirmedâ my ring size as a 5 (despite Ms Yangâs colleague sizing me on the very first time we stepped foot in Helzberg). Needless to say, the size 6 ring was visibly too loose, yet Ms Yang insisted that it was âfine.â After pushback from my mother, my partnerâs mother, and myself regarding the need to size the ring down, Ms Yang stated that I should âeat some cheeseburgersâ to get my ring size up, a comment we all found to be unprofessional. It is not my responsibility to gain weight in order to fit into a ring I was promised would be customized to my size. Ultimately Ms Yang said she would send the ring to be sized smaller after additional pushback. Since then, we have not received a concrete update or date we can expect the ring, or if the ring will even be made in the size we need. I was able to speak with Ms Catherine Casey (the store manager) on June 12th, and was promised an update on June 14th, and if not, then June 17th at the absolute latest. Despite these repeated promises, we did not receive any updates.
This experience was thoroughly disheartening, and we ultimately moved forward with...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. Unfortuntately everytime that I enter Helzberg I feel as though I am treated differently becuase of how young I must look. I am never greeted or feel as though people are there to service those that walk in the door. I am constantly asked if the ring was purchased there even though it is brought in about every 2 months to be cleaned and it was a custom ring designed by Helzberg. I arrived to drop off my ring to be cleaned and the representative acted like she had no idea why I was there, even though I had just gotten off the phone with someone and had called ahead about me dropping my ring off. I called ahead so that they knew to expect me in the next 5 minutes because of my preious encounters. When I handed the ring over, the representative placed the ring on her pointer ringer and continued to walk around the store and type with it on. I was honestly in shock that someone would take a customers $11,000 engagement ring and nonchalantly walk around and treat it in this manner. I felt like it was extremely disrespectful. Truly would only walk into Helzberg becuase of the continued extended warranty on the ring. But I would never buy another piece of jewelry from there or recommend it to anyone else.
I would also liek to mention that my fiance had gone in with me to look at wedding bands, only to be told to look online. The man working that day honestly could care less about us being excited to shop for wedding bands together and clearly did not want to help us. My fiance and I have both gone to Khoury Bro's where we were wlecomed with open arms and got to try on a multitude of rings to find the style that we loved. We have both since purchsed custom wedding bands from Khoury bro's as Helzberg has unfortunately lost...
Read moreI visited Helzberg Diamond on December 27th, looking to purchase a Cuban Miami link for a pendant I bought elsewhere. Initially, the service seemed promising as a woman offered assistance. However, the encounter took an uncomfortable turn.
The first woman (I guess her name was Kelly)seemingly suspicious, repeatedly placed the Cuban links in a cage as if anticipating theft. Despite my reassurance and reluctance to touch them, the discomfort persisted. The second lady, with glasses, was courteous and displayed professionalism.
Despite the positive interaction with the second associate with glasses , the overall experience was marred by the unwarranted suspicion and discomfort induced by the first woman. As a customer, I believe a jewelry store should prioritize creating a welcoming atmosphere.
I, along with my five cousins who accompanied me, left feeling dissatisfied with the service. It's crucial for a jewelry store to ensure customers feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Additionally, I want to express my appreciation for the exceptional customer support I received at Elite Jewelers in Tysons. Unlike my experience at Helzberg Diamond, the staff at Elite Jewelers made me feel entirely at ease. They showcased their beautiful pendants, encouraging me to touch and explore them, creating a pleasant and humorous atmosphere. Considering this, I am inclined to purchase my Cuban Link and pendant from Elite Jewelers due to their outstanding customer...
