I visited during soft opening and have come back almost everyday since! The drinks are of the highest quality in the area with customer service to match. I got the jasmine cloud, matcha Jasmine, grape cloud, and coconut mango boom. All of which were thoughtfully-crafted and delicious. I highly recommend a visit despite the hour long wait. Update 2: I’ve been visiting this location multiple times a week, but unfortunately, I have to lower my initial rating due to the declining quality and inconsistency of the drinks, especially when compared to my experiences at NYC locations. The drinks *never* taste the same—sometimes overly sweet, other times too icy or bland, even when ordering the exact same drink. On multiple occasions, I’ve purchased two of the same drink, only to have them taste completely different from one another. This level of inconsistency is disappointing for a brand that prides itself on delivering high-quality bubble tea. Beyond quality issues, ingredient shortages are a recurring problem. By Tuesday, they frequently run out of key ingredients, and on some days, nearly half the menu is unavailable. One of the most frustrating experiences is they make drinks out of order and will have your smoothie sit out for 15-20min while the rest of your drinks are being made, so that by the time the whole order is done, the smoothie turned into juice. Adding to the frustration, their online ordering platform, meant for guest convenience, is rarely functional. This forces customers to wait at least 20–30 minutes for their drinks, making the overall experience inefficient and frustrating. I also want to disclose that a large portion of the glowing reviews for this location are misleading. Heytea previously ran a promotion offering free merchandise in exchange for five-star reviews, meaning many of the ratings do not accurately reflect real customer experiences. Overall, the way this location operates does a disservice to the brand. The lack of consistency and organization takes away from what should be a reliable, high-quality bubble tea experience, making it hard for me to recommend Heytea at this time. Update 3: I visit this location at least once a week. The drink quality and consistency have improved significantly since my last review; However, my gripe about wait time, and online ordering still persists. I will update the rating from 2 to 3 stars until Heytea improves the ordering experience, as no one should have to wait 30-40 minutes to get a drink. The app has a rewards points system that you cannot use most of the time because you will be prompted by a "Tea making is busy" error and are forced to wait in line for a significant amount of time. Update 4: I rarely visit this location anymore due to the aforementioned concerns. During previous visit this past week, this location has mostly resolved all of my concerns about online ordering, drink consistency, and wait times. Therefore, I will bump my rating to four stars. However, I could not help but notice the high ambient temperature inside of the store, as well as the overwhelming smell of something akin to sewage. The store used to smell like fresh-brewed jasmine tea, and I did notice that the essential tea oil diffuser is no longer in-use, which perhaps masked the smell that was already there. I highly recommend that management resolve the bad smell concerns that I have heard from multiple patrons, hence my 4-star rating.

HeyTea is busy. Like, really busy. Crazy what social media can do. We came on the weekend, and it was packed. Came back on a Tuesday, still busy, but at least the line wasn’t out the door. Ordering is easy. Use the app, kiosk, or go to the counter if you have a debit card. There were a few kiosks in the store, and also a huge QR code in the window for you to order. The place is clean, lots of people hanging out using the Wi-Fi. Seating is kinda small - tiny tables with two little chairs. Not the best for hanging out forever, but it works. Also, with regard to kids, this store can get tight quickly if you’re bringing in a stroller. We got four drinks—Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea and Mango Cloud Drink, all with bobo. And wow. So good. The Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea was sweet, creamy, and had that caramel-y brown sugar taste. An enhanced version of what you would get at Tiger Sugar or wherever else. The bobo is soft and chewy. The Mango Cloud Drink was fruity, refreshing, and the creamy cloud topping was great. Kids loved it, and so did I. What’s cool about HeyTea is they don’t use fake ingredients. Real milk, no weird creamers. Real tea leaves, no gross powder. It’s a great option that is different than many other boba places. I think the ticketing/numbering system is cool. Just watch the screen and see if your number pops up. Idk how this feature can be enhanced, but I like it better than employees trying to say someone’s name. If you like boba and good drinks, go here. Just be ready to wait.

**First time at HeyTea Tysons Corner — and it definitely lived up to the hype!** 🧋✨ We’ve heard so many good things about this popular tea brand from China (its first U.S. location opened in New York), so as boba lovers, we had to try it. It’s tucked in the lower-level food court, and yes, the line was long — but that’s always a good sign! We decided to go big and ordered **four drinks** to get the full experience. One thing that stood out: they use **natural ingredients only — no artificial creamers or flavors**, which made a big difference. ✔️ **Matcha Jasmine Latte – 5/5** As a matcha lover, this one hit the spot. The matcha quality is noticeably better than other boba shops, and it wasn’t too heavy or creamy. My body loved it — it felt refreshing and a bit healthier. ✔️ **Mango Grapefruit Boom – 5/5** This one was a perfect mix of sweet and tart. The grapefruit gave it a nice kick of freshness, and it felt super light and balanced. ✔️ **Coconut Mango Boom – 4/5** Real fruit pieces inside! It was creamy and tropical, though slightly richer than I expected. Still a solid pick. ✔️ **Guava Purple Grape – 3/5** Also made with real fruit bits, but the flavor didn’t wow me as much as the others. More mellow than memorable. They’re currently not taking online orders because of how busy it gets, but the space has a clean, modern vibe that makes the wait worth it. 💬 Final thoughts: Beautiful store, quality ingredients, and great flavors. Can’t wait to go back and try the **brown sugar series** next time!
