I’ve attempted to try the Karak soft serve a few times, but it’s always unavailable. Went on a Saturday, and was told that they had it so I ordered one and waited. And waited. And waited lol. When they finally called my number, they gave me a vanilla soft serve with biscoff crumbs on top. It was delicious, so 5 stars for the food, but ultimately not what was ordered.
If there wasn’t a price difference between flavors, and if we didn’t have to wait so long just to receive vanilla after being assured that the Karak was available, I’d just let this go.
But the upcharge for Karak, and then the upcharge for biscoff crumbs (no cookie) bugs me lol. If you don’t have an item, just say so! I totally understand, especially on a busy day like Saturday at Tysons during the holiday season, and can just order something else and be on my way.
I think to improve, there needs to be better leadership. There was no shortage of hands on Saturday to work on orders, but there was clearly some miscommunication on what they had available and what they didn’t. Also if you’re going to have Karak soft serve as a featured product (it’s all on posters surrounding the escalator) why not always have the mix prepped and churning in the soft serve machine? Does management only allow the teens working here to turn it on once an order is placed? Does the owner really think they’ll save a few pennies by turning the machine off between orders?? Did they order a broken soft serve machine from McDonalds??? So many questions.
Anyway, management needs to get it together so that all of the teens working the counter have better direction and have the confidence to talk to patrons and just say “hey sorry, we don’t have the Karak soft serve right now, it’ll be a [00] minute wait, or we can substitute vanilla instead if you’re short on time”.
Oh and have the price of soft serve be uniform between all flavors, so that if employees have to make a substitution, they also don’t need to go and refund a 0.50 cent difference (especially if your POS system charges a fee per transaction).
TL;DR - management needs to improve, they need to refill/run the soft serve machine at regular intervals, standardize the price of all flavors and keep biscoff better stocked. Until that changes, just go here for the drinks and cakes, not...

I think this place is overrated and overpriced and no respect. Place should close ,
"I'm updating my review since it's been a month and I haven't spotted any dogs around Shotted lately. Big shoutout to Ms. Sofia – she makes the best coffee there. I’m a cappuccino lover, but I’m super picky about the milk temp and how the coffee's put together, plus the latte art. Sofia nails it every time!
I've also got to thank Feras, who keeps the place running smoothly. Upping my rating to 5 stars. Totally earned it."
I used to be a frequent patron of Shotted Cafe, located in Tysons Mall, and have always enjoyed their delightful atmosphere and delicious offerings. However, recent changes in the surrounding environment have left me with a less-than-stellar experience.
A growing number of visitors to the mall have been bringing their dogs to the area, despite the mall's policy against it. As someone with an allergy to dog hair, this has made my visits to Shotted Cafe increasingly uncomfortable.
The cafe itself remains a pleasant place with a great menu, but the presence of dogs in the dining area has become a significant deterrent for me. It's unfortunate that some individuals do not respect the mall's rules and the comfort of other patrons.
I understand that Shotted Cafe might not have direct control over this situation, but I believe it's important for them to be aware of the impact it has on their customers. I will also be sending a letter of complaint to the management of Tysons Mall in hopes of addressing this issue.
while Shotted Cafe remains a great option for a quick bite or coffee, the increasing presence of dogs in the area has negatively affected my experience. I hope that the mall management takes appropriate measures to enforce their no-dogs policy, allowing patrons to enjoy their time at Shotted Cafe without...
Read moreUnfortunately, my very first experience at Shotted was quite unpleasant. On Sunday 12/10, my coworker and I encountered some issues with the cashier, Zulaikha. I couldn't help but notice how she interacted with the customers before and after us, which seemed to be more pleasant compared to our experience. As we approached the register, Zulaikha informed us that the wait time would be approximately 20 minutes due to the high volume of customers. Understanding the nature of retail work, we were okay with waiting. However, things took a turn when we began discussing our order. Zulaikha suddenly stated that she couldn't take our order because there were still too many pending orders. After clarifying that we only wanted food items and no coffee, she reluctantly took our order. Throughout the process, she displayed a snappy attitude and even used sarcasm towards my coworker as we moved to the waiting area. We patiently waited for over 20 minutes for our number to be called. Finally, when our number was announced, Zulaikha informed us that they had run out of sandwiches. After some back-and-forth, she offered a refund. While I appreciated the refund, my main concern lies with the customer service. It would have been much better if we were informed in advance about the unavailability of food items. As retail workers ourselves, we have limited time for lunch breaks, and waiting for over 20 minutes only to leave empty-handed was disappointing. Customer service is of utmost importance to me, especially during busy holiday weekends. Kindness and good service can go a long way. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was far from satisfactory, and I am unsure if I would return or recommend...
