Beirut Lapita best 5 star Mediterranean Cuisine — Restaurant in Van Buren Charter Township

This was me and my husband's very first time ordering from this restaurant and unfortunately it'll be our last. We started off very excited since it was close to our home and we LOVE Mediterranean cuisine! We ordered to go a large chicken fattoush and their chicken shawarma lunch. Once home, we found that due to the amount of May flies flying around one decided to make my large salad their home! In addition to this the eniter salad was very limp and soggy with the hot chicken on top. I called back to share what was discovered and the onwer or manger (person on the phone did not identify themselves) from what I could tell explained that the chicken made the eniter salad soggy because it was placed hot and mentioned I should have asked for it on the side. I asked him if you guys KNEW that it would make the entire salad uneditable then why would you serve it that way? I also first mentioned about the fly the nested inside as well. Well, to my surprise, his first option to fix my issue was to offer a free SMALL salad. No, I didn't order a small salad. He than told me, after some back and forth, that he'll replace the salad only and not the chicken. I'm sorry but no again, there was an insect inside of my salad and I'd like the whole thing replaced. His option to that was to ask me to bring back the salad so that he could further inspect it! Ha! All of this JUST to replace a salad!! No thank you! Although at the end of this back and forth and after he SAW the condition of the salad he did finally agree to replace it in it's entirety. I just flet that this situation could have been handled a LOT more professional.

Rating on the food once we ate it is a 5, not bad but also not great.

Update: We did receive a call back from the establishment asking if the replacement salad was up to par and I will graciously say that it was and that I really appreciated the unexpected call back! For that I did change my rating from 1...

review) Omg. I have been to and ordered from so many restaurants. I called Beirut Lapita in Belleville because I wanted to order food for good friends who had to spend time in a nic u because their baby was born early than expected . They brought their new son home yesterday so I called this restaurant because it was closest to them. I explained why I was ordering this huge meal to the family. I have never eaten at this restaurant but the recipient's loved the food. They sent me pictures and were raving about how great the food was . Not only did this wonderful staff take care of delivering my order to them but they went above and beyond and added baklava from the restaurant as a congratulations. I called them to thank them and told Jim (delivered food) as soon as I get back into town I would be coming to dinner and he told me to make sure I let them know who I was when I get there. Who does that? I am so looking forward to meeting these wonderful people and having some of their delicious food. Thank you, thank you...a million thank yous You are like family to me and I haven't even met you yet. If you like your food warm, you won't enjoy either of the following: -shawarma over hummus -garlic sauce -tawook sandwich. Details below: We had the tawook sandwich and chicken shawarma over hummus along with garlic sauce and some bread. I like my food warm and I like the shawarma chunks small such that you won't have to use your fork to break the chunks further in order to put them in your mouth. Both the shawarma and the chicken in tawook sandwich were almost cold (not completely cold but felt like it had been sitting out for a while after removed from heat). The bread for garlic sauce was aslo cold served in a plastic bag. The shawarma chunks were also big. It felt like in order to save time the cheff cut bigger pieces to make it quick. Also because chunks were big the insides were less cooked than the outsides which created non uniformity in taste. It was further annoying to have to break those big pieces with knife and fork before eating. I was disappointed given the restaurant has 4.7 🌟. The customer service was great though.
