Really hate to give "Lunch Box" a 3 star review. Even that though is generous, only because I have hopes of them reading this, and taking these words serious. I walk in so excited to get a Dag Wood. I used to smash them from the original Lunch Box in downtown Belleville. Though this place shares the name. There is no way it's the same owner. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a post saying the food is disgusting. The first three bites of each half of the sandwich takes you back and gives the old school experience. From there each half is pretty much a vegetarian sandwich, it runs out of meat. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than walking into a business, and being robbed. If you're too cheap to build a sandwich properly, just close the doors, don't steal my money. I was curious why it was so dead when I got there. After experiencing what they served me, I quickly understood. Us old-school supporters are probably all let down by a name we all use to know and love.
To the owners of this shop, I would love to change this to a t star review. If you decide to change your business model, building a sandwich with meat throughout the sandwice. Please reply to this post. I'll try you one more time, before writing you off completely. Only because, I would love to add the Lunch Box back in the food rotation.
On a positive note, the Southside...
Read moreBlast from the past! 90s nostalgia at its best! The restaurant was decked out in everything 90s related shows, toys, and games with "saved by the Bell"playing on the TV!
We walked into the small restaurant after a good workout from a few doors down to find it moderately busy. We quickly scanned the menu and ordered via kiosk. The 20-minute wait time was not terrible, given the size of our order.
The bacon burger came with bits instead of strips as typically expected and could've used a little more seasoning. The backyard fries we both agreed were the best tasting item ordered.
His Southside fries were OK and the same for the mac&jack burger. He was displeased about ordering grilled onions on his burger and not receiving them.
When ordering via kiosk, you are prompted to enter a name as well as phone number, yet when brought out, the staff calls out the chosen menu items instead. This leads to quite a bit of confusion to multiple parties awaiting pickup.
Not a bad "bang for your buck" type of place, and I would give it a...
Read moreThis was my first time in the restaurant and it will be my last visit. I ordered a simple lunch box hamburger well done with french fries paid over $14. When I got home I received two flat thin patties, I wouldâve been better off going to Burger King to get a hamburger.
I called lunchbox to inform them that I didnât receive my hamburger bun, but the young girl was talking to someone in the background and was repeating what I was saying. She had the audacity to say âI told you wouldnât get a bunâ and you said itâs ok. Itâs sad that a company canât just say Iâm sorry I made a mistake! But to start spinning a story that you know is not true, to fit your narrative. Simple question was it, worth losing a customer for life? I could never recommend the lunchbox in Belleville, Michigan.
I paid over $14 for garbage. The hamburger was so salty and the fries were extremely salty. I couldnât even eat my lunch. It was starting to make me sick, way...
