China City — Restaurant in Van Buren Charter Township

My sister and I took our mother out for an early mother's day dinner. Well she knew the Chinese restaurant that she wanted to go to was in a plaza. We didn't know it at the time untill we walked in and she said it was the wrong one. We stayed anyways. Never again will we be going here and no we do not recommend this place to anyone. We got 3 meals all with soup, egg rolls, and a drink. We sat in, they brought are food to us in all the carryout containers, they did ask when they brought the food out if we wanted plates. Lol well you should have already had it on plates too being with. They didn't bring 2 of the soups out, so my sister asked for it. The one lady brings it out and then the other lady said $7 and blah blah change. Wait what? I said ummm we already paid for it. So my sister said no it's fine and paid for it again. She asked for some more plum sauce and the lady charged her another 75¢ to a $1.00. like seriously. Start eating it, the rice had no taste at all. The wontons in the wonton soup the meat inside them was nasty. My sister's vegetables in her meal were not cooked at all. Our mother was soooo disgusted with the food she just wanted to get up and leave, but since her daughter paid for it and there was a sign on the wall that said exchanges only, she didn't want to ruining the good time that we were having even though the food was disgusting. We didn't want to be rude and ended up taken the food with us when we left, but ended up throwing it out. As we sat there, I couldn't believe how many people that came in and gotten food while we were there. I just couldn't understand why after tasting the food. THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR. AFTER ORDERING FROM THEM A MILLION TIMES AND SPENDING MONEY WITH THEM FOR ALMOST A YEAR. I HAD AN ISSUE WITH ONE MEAL OUT OF ALL OF THEM AND ASKED FOR A REFUND FOR MY MEAL THAT THEY DELIVERED AND WAS SO SHOCKED ABOUT THE WAY I WAY I WAS TREATED! THE OWNERS WERE REALLY RUDE AND NASTY TO ME WHEN I ARRIVED ALL BECAUSE I ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK. WHAT IS WRONG FOR ASKING FOR A REFUND FOR SOMETHING YOUR NOT GOING TO EAT AND IS NASTY TO YOU? THEY ACTUALLY ARGUED WITH ME AND WERE SLAMMING THINGS AROUND. SHE DIDN'T PUT THE MONEY IN MY HAND SHE THREW MY MONEY ON THE COUNTER. MIND YOU I ONLY ASKED FOR MY $9 MEAL MONEY BACK AND NOT THE $4TIP OR $3DELIVERY FEE BECAUSE MY COWORKER ORDERED A MEAL AS WELL. NOT TO MENTION THAT THEY WERE SAYING RACIST THINGS IN THERE LANGUAGE AS WELL, IT WAS VERY MUCH A SLAP IN THE FACE FOR ALL THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT IN THEIR RESTAURANT. THEY ARE VERY VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! AND EVEN TOLD ME TO GET OUT OF THERE BECAUSE I ADDRESSED THEIR BEHAVIOR! THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE CHINESE RESTAURANT EVER! Okay so I purchased some Shrimp Fried Rice and Lo Mein noodles. He said 30 minutes and I said okay. (I had this delivered to me). So I waited and he gave me my rice, little did I know that the rice was over cooked and the noodles were cold. I called back asking could they make me some more and to tell him the rice was not cooked right. He then proceeds to tell me that I am the ONLY PERSON EVER TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE RICE hence the complaints below mines After arguing and calling 6X's!!! about the rice he tells me no refund for the rice unless I drive up there and get it. If I asked for you to deliver it, why would you make me come up there and get a refund. A hour later he then proceeded to tell me that I will not get a refund back if I ate the rice. As I stated before I did not eat the rice, except for when I ate a piece to taste it. He then has his driver come back to give me my refund (which was suppose to be $7.15 w/ tax), but it was only $7.00. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money.
