This is the Woodward Apartment Building, which has apartments managed by Global Luxury Suites also known as Churchill. Where do I begin about my husband and Iâs experience here. If youâre expecting a nice place, then youâll surely be disappointed. We arrived at our place with multiple lights burnt out, large amounts of dust on the ceilings/light fixtures, a soap holder literally ripped off the shower wall, and what looked like water damage that warped part of the hallway by the kitchen. After unpacking after a long day we decided to wash off and realized we didnât have hot water in either bathroom. We contacted the company and received no response. The next morning we talked to the front desk and they mentioned that the hot water was a building wide problem but mentioned it was fixed. We checked the water shortly after and we still didnât have water. Maintenance came in and said a part was needed but at the moment there was warm water, it was barely lukewarm. The next day they came back and worked on the showers, they said it was fixed. We still had no hot water but barely any warm water. We contacted the rental company multiple times to get this resolved and they barely responded to us. When they did respond it was all lies like saying maintenance tried to knock but we didnât answer that morning or that the problem was already resolved when they talked to the building. We were working from home the entire time. They never bothered to stop by. So therefore, these were never the case. So after 9 nights/10 days of no hot water, maintenance finally came back and fixed it. The Buildingâs property management even said that any attempts to try to repair the hot water prior wouldnât have worked since they had to call an outside contractor to do the work and they officially ârestoredâ hot water on Oct 23rd. That being said, we tried to communicate this with Global Luxury Suites customer service and when we asked for a refund for a portion of our stay they said that it would have to be coordinated with the billing department. After multiple follow up attempts they have gone completely silent and have not cared to respond. Itâs unacceptable not to have any hot water for that long. If you think theyâll try to relocate you when stuff like this happens, they wonât care or try to help you. They do not take the necessary actions to ensure their guests have a comfortable stay or relocate them to other properties they manage in the area when this stuff happens. Good luck trying to get them to do anything even if you email them daily with updates about you not having hot water in your apartment. Theyâll just continue to apologize for the inconvenience with no tangible actions to help you. I contacted Expedia to see if they can step in and advocate for some sort of partial refund and the property management company still has failed to reply back to discuss it. The customer service with this company bluntly does not care about you when things do not work in their apartments. I would avoid this place at all costs since you wonât get what you pay for, or receive the customer support/satisfaction that you...
Read moreMy wife and family stayed here during spring break, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We were in Unit 1002, a two-bedroom apartment on the 10th floor at the northwest corner, offering views of H and 15th streets.
The Apartment: The living room was well-furnished, featuring a dining table with four chairs, a glass desk with a chair, and a counter with two stools. Additionally, there was a couch with a pull-out bed, an upholstered chair, and a TV.
The galley-style kitchen was equipped with everything we needed: a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove/range, microwave, toaster, blender, small coffee pot, and an assortment of cookware, plates, cups, and mugs.
The master bedroom had a queen bed, two nightstands with lamps, a dresser, a TV, and an attached bathroom. The second bedroom offered two twin beds, a single nightstand, and a dresser. There was also a second bathroom conveniently located between the kitchen and the second bedroom.
The apartment also had reliable Wi-Fi, which was a nice bonus for staying connected during our trip.
Important to Note: This unit operates like an Airbnb through Churchill Living under the Global Luxury Suites brand. While thereâs a front desk at the apartment complex, any issues or concerns need to be communicated to Churchill Living, not the front desk.
Pros:
Prime Location: Just a 6-minute walk to the White House and a 20-minute walk to the Washington Monument. The nearest subway entrance is only 8 minutes away.
Rooftop Patio: The rooftop provides stunning views of the Washington Monument, making it a perfect spot for your morning coffee or takeout meals, though it can get crowded.
Parking: Parking, as recommended by Global Luxury Suites, is conveniently located under the building. You can unload your bags at the entrance, and staff will park your car for you. The cost was $150 for a 5-night stayâa fair price, in our opinion.
Cons:
Room Condition: The condition of the rooms was acceptable, though there were signs of rushed repairs and painting. That said, it didnât detract from our overall experience, and we would gladly stay here again.
Repairs and Assistance: There is no onsite staff to assist, but any concerns we had were resolved quickly. A special thank you to Laura from Churchill Living for her prompt help!
Tips for Future Guests: If you plan to stay here, consider bringing or purchasing:
Laundry detergent
Dishwasher detergent

Read moreThe worst experience ever! Global Luxury Suites Woodward Building 733 15th Street NW Washington DC 20005. Room #717. This room was so filthy, the bathroom had no working lights, a broken toilet seat, human hairs from others and nasty stuff in the shower on the door. The furnace and AC vent filter was fully exposed, and the cover was on the ground. The filter was extremely corroded with buildup over the years of never being changed. We were unable to stay there due to the health risk, and we are still fighting to get our money back. It's been more than 4 weeks of being given the run around for a refund. We did the correct thing and contacted them right away. Took pictures and emailed Global Luxury Suites as they had asked of us and we found a new hotel for our stay because they could not accommodate us. In a nutshell we checked in and checked out took pics, followed their rules for this complaint and found a new hotel and still no refund! No one has been able to reach this hotel host for this property (room) we were to stay in. Absolutely unacceptable and to compromise my family's health for your ignorance in not knowing how to properly manage a building. You should be shut down. You should be ashamed of yourselves taking someone's hard earned money with no hesitation knowing exactly what they are going to experience once they arrive at your location. This property has many code violations and health violations. They need to be investigated asap! I should not have to work this hard to get my full refund. Not hard to comprehend I could not stay there with my family due to the health concerns followed your rules for the complaint and now I demand my full refund. I am done...
