It’s 2 weeks after my walk in experience. Where I feel just straight out scammed and lied too. Today my truck arrived with my 10k bed. I never wanted to spend that kind of money, I definitely did not need to or want to wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered. On to the shit show. I was charged on my receipt 50 of the 150$ heather told me this after the fact of course, because we made it clear we had no problem hauling, assembling or disassembling….. but I digress. I see a “disassemble/reassemble” fee. I was told word for word without option that these men when they came to deliver my bed they would disassemble my old bed and “move it to any room in the house or dispose of it” HEATHER TOLD BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I THAT THIS WAS APART OF THE FEE WE HAD NO OPTION AND PAID FOR. well I needed it moved to my daughters room so it seemed fair. Until the men arrived and looked at me like I was a moron when I mentioned it.
I’ve done this so many times at mattress firm and it never last a month and I can’t even sleep in the bed because the pain it causes me. So my first concern was am I stuck with this bed if a month from now my back is hurting. I was told there was a 120 day guarantee. Heather immediately said it would be no problem switching or returning a bed due to back pain. Until that is… she got our sale. Then it turned into I needed to buy a 200$ mattress protector so it could remain insured. Otherwise mattress firm may not approve my claim? Then at the end after I paid IN FULL she proceeeds to tell me I’m stuck with the bed and because I bought the most expensive bed the best she could do if it doesn’t work out is downgrade my bed and hope for the best. But if the bed costs more than the one I purchased they wouldn’t honor trading it. They will only honor it if it advantages them. Lucky for me I bought the most expensive mattress so I only get the option of a downgrade.
Heather did an AMAZING JOB at the good old BAIT and SWITCH.
THEN THIS woman PROCEEDS TO open 2 credit cards- one in my husbands and one in my name. Knowing we couldn’t use both. So now I need to cancel a credit card I never needed or confirmed I wanted. This was a nightmare. You lost a customer. A loyal one. Heather I will be contacting your upper office because you straight scammed me, lied to me, and took advantage of us. But this is a one star on the soul and kindness of a salesperson. Not sure of his name but here it goes. Me and my fiance were driving a f150 with a dolly trailer and pulled into Taco Bell. The long space was taken so she parked the truck in 5 spaces at the front of mattress firm store. I walked in to kindly ask if we could park there for 3 to 5 minutes while we waited to find a space which i explained. There were no customers and there were 8 additional spaces of parking available for mattress firm potential buyers to park.
The new yorker salesman was very snarky and said we were ruining his sales if he had a rush no one would be able to park. I had kindly asked and the kindness did not extend to his mindset.
When he looked finally at open spaces...i said to him i actually couldnt believe he wouldnt let us stay there for a min to find a place to park...I would have never done that..but I have a soul and treat people as people. He finally said ok but the attitude and precursor up to that was already out there.
I have a 7k credit limit with Mattress firm and have bought 3 queen mattresses there in asheville and I will never buy another mattress from there again.
He reminded me of Larry David with a better than thou attitude. I told him i was writing this and he didnt really care.
The lady beside him seemed nice with southern hospitality....she probably is from the area.
Look I get rules but in todays world a little kindness and understanding goes along way.
No wonder the whole time we ate, after we moved into the parking spot that opened at taco bell, we noticed 1 car came the whole time.

He was nice and seemed knowledgeable about the different types of mattress but he wasn’t up to date on the latest sales prices posted on Mattress Firm’s web page. We actually went on-line and found the same mattress we were buying priced at about $400 cheaper than in the store. However, after a month our mattress wasn’t working out, because it was so hard, so we returned to the store to exchange our mattress under their 120 return policy. The 120 day return policy was an incentive for us buying there. Upon arrival at the store John was busy and we were greeted by Heather. She automatically assumed we had only had our bed for a week and started insulting us. I told her our bed was so hard that after sleeping on it my husband had to help me out of bed to the living room. I explained to her several years ago I was involved in an accident in which my pelvis was fractured and I had to have a bed that I could sleep in. I also explained that after we paid for our bed John was very concerned about how hard the bed would be for the first few days. But it was only after paying for the bed that John had told us that. Her remark to this was its in the contact. Lol you don’t get the contact until you sign it. She was vey insulting to my husband and I. We traded our bed for a Beautyrest Pressure Smart plush pillow top mattress and it’s horrible. It’s lumpy and so uncomfortable.
