Conca D'or Oceanfront Resort — Hotel in Wildwood Crest

I am giving this hotel a 2 out of 5 based on a few things that it has going for it.|The positives are that the location is great. You can't beat its proximity to the beach and view of the ocean. Also it is very clean. Housekeeping did a great job. |The staff was accommodating and let us into our room early when we arrived, and allowed us to leave our car in the parking lot until 3 on the day of checkout, even though we checked out at 10. |With that said, there are a few cons to consider. The property is very dated (as is all of wildwood it seems) and in desperate need of some upgrades. Another con is the fact that the pool closes at 6pm. We are hardly off the beach by then and enjoy swimming in the evening. Another big drawback for us is the fact that there is NO COFFEE PROVIDED. We had to go across the street each morning to the neighboring hotel's coffee shop and buy a cup.|It's true what they say, you get what you pay for. We booked last minute and there weren't many options so we went with the Conca d'or. We won't stay...

**the NUMEROUS “NO REFUNDS” signs around the front desk was the first clue that we made a bad decision choosing this hotel. no wonder no refunds, i can imagine just about everyone would want a refund from here.

the worst motel stay we’ve ever experienced by far. room smelled stale & moldy. tub was DISGUSTING (luckily we were only staying 1 night because i refused to bathe my daughters in that tub) the carpet was gross & crusty. mattresses not encased in bed bug protectors which i think should be MANDATORY for every hotel/motel for obvious reasons. worst part was the balcony door. we were on the third floor (nice view) but impossible to enjoy when you have 2 small children and the balcony door doesn’t close properly nor have a lock! i can’t believe they can legally operate in the condition this building is in. SO UNSAFE. never again.

Location was good. ease of access to beach was great. This hotel was good to sleep. Amenities were out dated. Hotel was falling apart. Office staff was great when we arrived but the rest of the time we witnessed them yelling at other guests. We checked out on time and asked if we could leave our car in their lot for an hour and the woman said we needed to get off the property immediately. They needed the space for the new comers. Ironically it was 10 am and the new comers couldn't check in until 3pm. The woman told me she couldn't please everyone. I told her she could at least try... We asked for a few other things during our stay and found the office workers to be un-accommodating every time. Perhaps these folks don't realize they should accommodate as much as possible, especially since we paid over $1,000.00 for 3 nights.. Never again will...
