DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! ||TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ("Amanda" in Billing and Front Desk drew a hard line regarding charging me for an extra night due to an unforeseen circumstance and "late check out" -after 1pm). Even though I had to move locations to the Super 8 across the street. "AMANDA continued to cite 'Company Policy' and could not make an adjustment based upon my situation." Here are the details: I travelled to Reno for this road trip. I contracted the FLU or RSV or Norovirus or COVID (not sure which it was, only that it knocked me flat for about 3 days). I could barely stay upright for any longer than about 20 minutes. I did not feel comfortable with driving any long distance; so I opted to stop in Winnemucca Nevada and try to get well before I continued to return home. I checked in to this Motel on Friday, January 24th, 2025. I proceeded to get my room key and headed straight to my room. Then I slept from 5pm until about 6am the next morning (Saturday, January 25th, 2025). That day I extended my stay another night. No problems except the fact that they were remodeling a room immediately above me and I really needed my rest to get well, so I gutted it out for Saturday even with the Room remodel construction noise above me (for about 6-8 constant hours). I was too sick to care. Next Day, Sunday, January 26th, 2025; I still didn't feel well enough to drive; so I went to the front desk and asked for another night. ||This was granted. I asked to please change to another room due to the construction noise above me. This request was granted. I changed rooms. Took me some time to move all of my personal items because I was still extremely sick. Note: Even though I had a two Queen bed room, I only used one bed in each room so housekeeping had less to do to prep the room for their next guest(s). I also did not trash the room, nor add any extra needed (non-standard services, like empty trash cans, wipe down surfaces, clean bathroom, change linens, etc.) As In...I went OUT OF MY WAY to not cause the housekeepers any extra efforts. I was able to eat at their restaurant several times, I was able to do some gaming at the casino also, AFTER I began to feel a bit better. I still wasn't healthy however. So I approached the front desk to request one final night for my stay (Monday January 27th, 2025). I was told that they could not accommodate my request for one final night "due to a large group arriving and no vacancy in the Motel." This was approximately 11am. Thus, I had no option but to try to find other accommodations; which I was able to book on-line at the Wyndham SUPER 8 just across the street. TIP: STAY HERE INSTEAD, everything is much better than the Model T and Quality Inn. Rate at the Quality Inn was $100.80 per night for a double Q/NS room. Super 8 was $91.87 for a nice quiet room, good beds (also a double Q/NS room), and they provide a complementary breakfast for their guests. I will be staying at the SUPER 8 Winnemucca from now on. The Super 8 Manager also sent me a nice email thank you message, post-stay. I am a Wyndham Platinum Member, but I wanted to give the Model T/Quality Inn Motel a chance instead on this particular trip. BIG MISTAKE! So I ended up double paying for two rooms for the night of Monday, January 27th, 2025. More info: Once I was told they had no available rooms (in the entire Motel?) at the Choice Motels Quality Inn, I told their housekeeping girls that I was still sick and would do the best I could to vacate the room, but I was NOT in the mood to be hassled and pushed to get out! "Just give me a chance and some time to secure my effects, and move them to my vehicle..." I told them they would get the room ASAP but it might take me a bit of time to be totally out. The 'HOUSEKEEPING' CREW apparently thought I was being 'confrontational' with them. I was only stating that I was still ill, moving slowly, and needed ample time to vacate. They called the local Sheriff's patrol to come and 'talk to me.' The two officers knocked on my room door between noon and 1pm. They could see that I had my belongings lined up on the unused bed and the room floor in preparation for vacating the room. "So, you'll probably be another 10-15 minutes then?" My answer: "yes, I'm still sick with the Flu, but I'll move as quickly as possible."||I was completely out of the room by 1:10PM. Left the room keys on the credenza. According to their 'housekeeping crew' I did not vacate the room until 2:45pm. This is a BLATENT LIE! (It is to self-justify charging me for another night that I did NOT stay at the Quality Inn, costing me an additional $100.80). I have tried to resolve this via direct phone calls to the Motel twice. They will NOT budge. I have filed a dispute with my Credit Card Issuer (I did that the week after I saw the double charge for $201.60 times * two = $430.20 Total (for three nights, in a 2-3 star only facility). Full rate paid. All I wanted was to stay one more night and not have to move motels until I felt comfortable with driving long distance. No dice! Didn't matter to them that I was sick, spent money at their restaurant, their casino, and made an extra effort to limit the housekeeping duties upon my departure. I have never had a motel manager not appreciate my business, nor have any compassion for my unfortunate circumstances. 'AMANDA' was dead-set to not negotiate nor work with me to try to resolve our situation. I would have split the difference on the extra night stay had she been even considerate enough to take my situation into consideration...she would not. "Company Policy...yada yada yada" Hence, I do not plan on ever staying here again. I will be cutting up my Players Loyalty Cards, and I am posting here to WARN other travelers about my POOR experience. They can still issue a credit adjustment for the night in question (which they charged me for, and the room was indeed used by another guest that same night... i.e. they got DOUBLE PAID for that room for the night of Monday, January 27th, 2025. I HOPE IT WAS WORTH THE $100.80 to lose my repeat business for life. This isn't even counting upon additional future revenue via the bar, restaurant, and casino. I will also tell as many acquaintances about this 'experience' and thwart their patronage of this Motel and Casino. All for the want of a single nail for the horseshoe. AMANDA just cost her independent Motel Owners THOUSANDS of lost dollars in potential revenues. ...
Read moreThe Model T Quality Inn was an extreme disappointment. To begin with, the furniture in the room was old and in barely adequate condition. The cable TV system worked poorly. The antenna that connects the remote control to the cable system did not function correctly, and as a result, changing channels was impossible. I had to call the front desk three times regarding the issue and the clerk claimed that she would send maintenance each time I called. Needless to say, after waiting 90 minutes, no one from maintenance appeared.||||There were no bath towels in the room, none were delivered when I called, and I had to go to the front desk to get them. On the morning of check out I tried to reach the front desk due to an error on my bill and none of my calls were answered. The excuse I received from the assistant manager was that they didn't have time to answer my call because potential new customers were calling. Apparently, existing customers are unimportant to the management.||||The restaurant was another story. I went there for dinner and noticed that most of the tables had not been cleaned, yet three servers were busy talking with each other. On the positive side, my server was great. She was attentive, friendly, efficient, and seemed genuinely interested in providing her customers with a good experience. I wish I could say the same for the others.||||Overall, the place is a dump. I expected more for the $149.00 per night rate. I will never stay at that location again and can not recommend it for anyone. If I was the owner, I would fire the manager and hire someone with an understanding of the hospitality business. The bottom line is stay anywhere but the Quality Inn when you...
Read moreMy family and I were traveling and decided that Winnemucca, NV was a half way point for our travels. The Quality Inn prices offered were better than what other hotels could offer in the area. The deciding factor on which hotel we chose to stay at was the positive reviews posted online for the Quality Inn compared to other hotels listed in the area.
We arrived into Winnemucca, NV at about midnight and the check-in process was pretty quick. (We booked a week in advance). We parked in the back of the hotel and noticed the back entrance to the hotel was unlocked. That was kind of concerning as anyone could just walk into the hotel without any security cameras installed to record anything. We didn't really inspect the room as we were really tired but at first glance it was clean. The AC fan in the hotel room seemed pretty loud throughout the night in which it kept waking my wife up.
At check-in, the front desk provided us with a complimentary breakfast for the diner located in the casino. The next morning we went to the diner for the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was good and well displayed.
Our overall experience was "Good". It wasn't the best but it also wasn't the worst. It was just enough to get us rested through the night so we could get back on the road to our final destination. If we were to travel through the area again, we would probably stay here again because of the hotel prices offered compared to the other hotels...
