China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Winnemucca

China Garden is a lovely little family owned chinease resteraunt in Winnemucca. It's been here a very long time, and we are currently on our second owners. I ❤️ the service, they make you feel like your special, and your the only customer when you can dine in. Food is great. You have to order to go right now because their servers didn't come back after covid and they can't find decent help, not for lack of trying. If you don't call in ahead of time it could take little longer, but they are pretty fast considering the amount of orders they get and that everything is made fresh. I have, from time to time, sat in there and visited with the gentleman that takes order's, and have seen how busy they are. The food is great! My kid's and I have a weekly lunch date there. My son, husband and I get the sesame chicken. I ask for mine to be extra spicey since I don't think it's spicy. My daughter gets chow mein, pork fried rice and egg rolls. However there is much more we love. We love the egg drop and hot and spicey soup. Both are thick and packed with stuff. I just can't rave enough...

I am very picky when it comes to my Chinese cuisine. In my home area I have only two I dine at on the regular. I managed to find my regular dishes on the menu and order them the way I usually order it back home. I ordered the bbq ribs without the sauce. The person taking the order tried to tell me it will not taste good without the sauce so I allowed the sauce on the side. I also ordered my other regular dish the chop suey. I must say it was very delicious. The chop suey was incredible and full of tasty vegetables. I must say the person saying the ribs will not tast good without the sauce was wrong. They were indeed very tasty and juicy, very similar to the restaurants in my home area. I would highly recommend this place for the dishes I have tried. First time eating here. Nice! Clean facility, really clean bathroom. A bunch of people were coming and going while I was here. Locals from the looks of it. About 6 deputies came in too. If THEY show up to eat, must be a nice deal and good meal if the local police folks are showing up here, I think! I had WAY too much food! I ordered a appetizer of the POT STICKERS. 6 came on the order, and man THEY WERE HOT, FRESH AND HUGE!! I was able to finish them (minus some of the batter, in an effort to save some room) and the entree of BEEF LO MEIN came in short order. I also had hot tea (which needed a couple of minutes to darken up) and all was good to go! Cost: $13.00...not shabby! I left them a nice tip too as they took...
