My extended family & I went to this restaurant on Eid ul Adha for a buffet since I'd heard it was good. There were 25 people in our party.
I don't like writing negative reviews, but unfortunately there was nothing that was any good with our entire experience here. The food was leftover from earlier in the day & was cold. We had arrived an hour before closing time at 9 pm that day. When I went to meet the owner from Karachi, Pakistan, & inform him politely that my expectations had been dampened & the food was not of a quality that I'd expected, the owner retorted with a reply that got me a little bit upset. And I usually don't get upset at little things. And they're all Little Things ! He replied by saying that I'd gotten there late & somehow implying I was to blame. Anyway. I wouldn't spend upwards of the USD 25.00 that it costs per person for their cold, unheated & stale food. And the owner's answer to my observation of his food that night was something a restaurant owner should stay away from responding with. It's definitely not good for business. I for one, along with my extended family members, won't be coming back to this restaurant anytime soon.
Spread Positivity & stay away from Negative experiences as the one I was unfortunate enough to experience on what was supposed to be a joyous occasion of Eid ul Adha (!)

Addendum 1st July 2025 :
It appears that the owner of this establishment has had his reply to my review written by someone other than himself. His use of the English language is not sufficient & the very immature response with the wording is unlike the language structure he is capable of. I know because I've met & spoken with him in person at the restaurant.
I'd like to clarify for the readers that, as Allah is my witness & the fact that the restaurant owner has made untrue allegations against myself, he will now be in my debt that he shall have to repay me either in the form of Good Deeds, or if he doesn't have any left on The Day of Judgment, he'll get some of my Bad Deeds : I never asked for a USD $ 5.00 Discount. My Brother in Law, whom I won't mention because the owner knows him & called him to ask me to take down this review the following day, had confirmed the time of 2100 hrs. on the day of Eid ul Adha & the owner knew full well that our party of 25 individuals would be arriving at the time. So, his statement that we came late & that he stopped the Buffet Service at 2100 hrs is incorrect because that is exactly the time he was expecting our group.
I'm looking forward to getting some of his Good Deeds on The Day of Judgment. For this is a debt between 2 individuals in the Dunya & Allah cannot forgive this debt for the reason mentioned. I've already left Baltimore & will wait for my day of compensation eagerly. That Time is almost upon us. Looking forward to meeting the restaurant owner soon, إن شاءالله
Don't forget to feed the poor.

Read moreUpdate: Went there again with my family. Again the food was good but they lack the service. When we were done with the dinner we asked for kheer and were told the kitchen was closed. It was about 9:45pm, they mention they close at 10pm. Open till 10pm means they will serve till 10pm, if they close the kitchen early then should update their timing. Secondly usually when the restaurant is closing their kitchen they ask their guests if they want to order anything else before they close the kitchen. But they never asked us if we want to order anything else before they close the kitchen. So basically they lack the customer service. Although the food was good, but because of their service I would not recommend.
Food was good, service was ok. Atmosphere is ok as well. Food serving was good but there are a few things because of which I gave them 3 stars. Their advertised closing time was 10pm, we called a little before 9pm just to check if they are open etc. and they said they are closing their kitchen in few minutes so we should order now. That means they close their kitchen an hour before their closing time. They should change their closing time then to 9pm. Luckily we called, otherwise if we had reached there after 9pm we would have to come back. Secondly there was party going on and they started turning lights off a little before 10pm so people can leave, that is not good. Third when we were done and putting remaining food in containers, their staff person came and said we are closing soon. I said yes I know and we are leaving in few minutes. Although it was not 10pm yet, this is not a good service that you are telling your customers to leave even when it is not closing time yet....
Read moreSo, I was looking for a legit Karachi level desi resturant in the DMV area and nothing would come close to Desi Bethak until I came across this spot. This resturant is a blessing for us folks, living in Maryland who dont want to drive all the way to Virginia suffering I495 just to get good food. I tried Chicken Karahi, Goat Karahi, Chicken Pulao, Seekh Kababs and Beef tawa Qeema. During my multiple visits I also got a chance to try their Halwa Puris, parathy and fried chicken. I would say they are very consistent with quality and taste. Karahis are really flavorfull. Kababs are a bit okay but Tawa qeema was out of this world! Same goes with the Pulao. Legit Pulao! Halwa puri are traditional the way they should be, tasty and flavorful. Parathas were a bit disappointing though, should skip it. Their sesame seed naans are to die for!! Loved those fresh hot naans with everything. On top of all this, their service is top notch, friendly staff, giving you a feeling of eating out by providing proper service and cutlery. I would recommend thos to all my folks in...
