We had a giant and comfortable double room on the ground floor, luggage stands, small couch, nice shower, and the location is just fabulous! Breshim is in a small alley a two-minute walk from the entrance to the old city of Bukhara and about 500 metres from the Italian restaurant at the edge of downtown in the new part of the city. The staff really don't speak English, the young gentleman who received us and also took payment at the end of our stay spoke just enough to manage, but we also didn't need much help. The courtyard was also lovely, and we like to hang in the courtyards when we come back from the day's explorations and also after dinner in the evening. We were constantly offered things they thought we might need - a drying rack for the hand-wash, bottle opener for the beer, pot of tea, more blankets (it was cold at night!). This was probably the best room on our whole trip! The old neighborhood in which the hotel is situated was meant to be more interesting than it really was, but with the whole old city at your doorstep we had plenty to do and see. Read moreWe spent 1 night in Bukhara, arrived early morning and left late afternoon following day. Breshim would have been our favourite hotel but unfortumately there was no water in whole town so we could not have shower or use toilet. The owners didn't come with an idea to supply some bottled water. We had to buy it from a local shop ourselves.|Anyway, the hotel is nice, rooms are spacious and clean. Good location, 2-3 min walk to the centre of Old town. With help from a local guy Naill, who we met on the overnight train from Tashkent, and who phoned to the hotel from his mobile to get some directions , we got there with no problem. Staff in the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. Speak Russian and English.|Such a shame about water, it is really nice hotel in...
Read moreWe found the Hotel Breshim a delight, mostly due to the incredibly friendly staff! The pumpkin parcels and cheese dumplings are...
