I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The staff repeatedly pressured me to leave a 10/10 review on booking.com. If I didn’t do it on the spot, they kept bringing it up every time I passed the reception. The high ratings you see online are misleading—they are the result of guests being forced to give perfect scores in front of the staff. A few days after I checked out, I suddenly received an email saying my reservation had been “changed” to a future date—without my consent. This was extremely alarming, as it could have led to an unwanted charge if I hadn’t noticed in time. Despite the website clearly stating that credit card payment is accepted, the hotel insisted it was “not possible” and kept pushing me to withdraw cash from an ATM. Upon check-in, I was only asked for payment and handed the key. No information about breakfast, Wi-Fi, or even the basics of the hotel/room was provided. The hotel name had been changed, making it very difficult to reach the location from the airport. When I asked about it, the staff said they kept the old name online “to maintain the reviews,” which was very suspicious. Even the facilities were poor—the hair dryer stopped working after just five minutes. I stayed there for a few days. But no one came to clean the room or change the towels and other amenities.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Please be aware...
Read moreEverything was as expected. The room was confortable and quiet big. AC worked perfectly in that 40 degree. I asked him to keep my luggages till 2pm and he just offer me the room 2 extra hour for free. With the heat going on in july it was very appreciated. I assume the lady at breakfast was his mother. Even though I could not speak with her, she was so helpful and breakfast was perfect with eggs, sausages, crepes, vegetables, fruits, jam, cheese and so on. Same thing for his father. He has a hard time walking, that's why he is always sitting in the lobby. He managed to stand up for greeting me on my way out. I felt like I have known this man forever even if we could not exchange a single word. Of course the son, runnin the place, speaks well english. You are 4 minutes of a slow walk from Khoja Nasreddin statue where you can have dinner and live dance and music show at 7h30pm. From there you can walk or take those small golf cart to anywhere....
Read moreSounds like i had a lucky escape, judging by recent reviews. The day we were supposed to check in (coming from khiva by late night train) they told us they had had an electrical fire and we could not come. They then asked us to cancel on booking.com so they could avoid the fees for cancelling us. Given the short timescales involved we didn't even get a reply from booking.com before we had to choose what to do. We cancelled and went elsewhere. The next day we walked past and there was no sign of a problem, guests were staying in the...
