Where to begin. Was it Bich, who virtually did everything possible for me, or her husband and chef Nhat; maybe it was the security guard Emh , whose radiant smile was so infectious, or the front desk Huy and the housekeeping staff that greeted you daily with so much enthusiasm you just had to reciprocate? I just don’t know. I do know though, that I was blessed to have resided in such a pleasant and caring atmosphere.||||The staff were so genuine and kind, that from the onset I actually felt part of a family. Occasionally, I had the opportunity to meet some of their children and grandparents, which made my experience even that much more enjoyable.||||The facility is secure and high quality. With a pool and restaurant on the eighth floor, a view of the ocean, quaint and relaxing, it’s hard to beat. The complex can also boast a weight room and sauna.||||The apartments are spacious, clean and modern. Fridge, stove, microwave, flat screen TV, cable, wifi, air conditioning, washing machine, balcony and ample storage space. It is equipped with all cooking utensils, BUT why cook when there are hundreds of restaurants and a local market right at your doorstep.||||You can arrange with housekeeping, the days and times you wish your apartment to be cleaned, and the linen and towels changed. It is so convenient and does not need to be on a set schedule. ||||The general manager, Hai, is so approachable and accommodating. I had to shorten my stay one month early, and had absolutely no qualms or difficulty getting my rental fee or deposit refunded.||||I highly recommend HB + HOTEL AND APARTMENTS. I will definitely book again on my return trip to DaNang. I would personally like to thank the staff for making my stay such a warm and memorable experience. Bich, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your relentless efforts, above and beyond, to ensure my stay was uncomplicated and culturally enlightening. To Hai, Em, Nhat, Huy and all staff, your kindness, generosity and genuine warmth is a tribute to Vietnamese people and its culture. ||||HB + should actually read....PLUS PLUS PLUS.||||THANK YOU FOR THE...
Read moreThe hotel has unfortunately many issues.
At arrival I noticed stairs at the hotel, though I expecity said that no stairs is important, as I was traveling with a toddler.
Then at arrival there was no toilet paper, no soap, no sponge for the dishes and many more amenities missing.
They advertise a sauna, but don't mention that these costs extra.
Water leaked at 3 places onto the tiles (really dangerous) and they did not managed to fix it properly within 3 weeks. I even felt down and hurt myself massively, thus I had to check it in hospital because after 2 weeks I still couldn't move without pain. I am just grateful that I didn't carried my baby at this moment.
The room always had a bit bad smell, but I thought I just need to open windows more. Which I could do only during daytime when I am there, because everyone could have come in otherwise, as the windows where directly at public stairs. But cleaner unfortunately didn't care. Even I told them many times. They left all windows open when I am not there. Everyone could have entered my appartment!!
Then when I got visitors they immediately said that this is mold. It came from the bedroom. So I left earlier this hotel and they didn't even want to refund this money for the pending days.
Mold and leaking water on tiles are both very dangerous.
I would not recommend staying there.
Though location is great if you wanna stay near the beach and in an thoung area.
But it is very very loud. From pubs, from traffic, from people selling there stuff with megaphone and most annoying: many many constructions.
When I was searching a room I asked explicitly if this hotel and area is really quiet. The said "yes, really really quiet". This was simply a lie, just to close a sale..
Staff itself though have been...
Read moreMy husband & I, an American-Mexican expat couple, lived at HBPlus for 6 weeks. We spent the first 2 weeks in a studio on the 2nd floor, and the final month in a 1 bedroom on the 8th floor. Both were great, although we did have a couple of problems with the 1 bedroom when we first moved in. To the building's credit they responded immediately to fix these problems, which they did satisfactorily. Things we loved about the 1 bedroom: plenty of space for my husband & I, a fully functioning kitchen with cooking equipment, an in-unit washing machine, balcony, ocean view! great wi-fi, and a few good English-language movie channels. Things we loved about the building: the beautiful rooftop pool! the amazing security guard who's always smiling, the helpful staff, and the amazing location right in the heart of the An Thoung neighborhood. We appreciated and used the rooftop gym too, although some of the cardio machines could use replacing. Overall we absolutely recommend the building, but make sure before you sign a lease for any given unit - whether short or long term - you go into that EXACT unit to look around. If they won't let you see it, it's probably because there's something wrong with it. In our case with the 1-bedroom, we were told we couldn't see it because someone was "currently living in it." Although when we were in the unit they brought people in to show the apartment. Again, be sure to view the exact/actual unit you will be moving into. This way there are...
